Any word? That’s not a bad final four.

He's Bama as of recent predictions.
He can score at all three levels and he's an explosive leaper with tremendous upside.
6'5 175 SG

Alabama has now offered 2022 Leonard Miller (Fort Erie International Academy / Canada Elite) per his IG. His recruitment has been blowing up as he continues to put up video game numbers. Skilled 6'10" point forward that can do everything. #RollTide

I saw this on Twitter last night. I was a little surprised, but apparently we think we can make the numbers work.
We lose 3 seniors. If we assume JQ and Shack are gone, that's 5 spots. I guess it's not a stretch to think we'll lose at least one more - JD going pro or someone transferring.

We have at least 5 guys who are 100% gone IMO. Obviously the 3 seniors, and then you have to assume that at least 2 of JQ, JD, and Shack are going pro. Probably all 3, but I see no way it's 1 or 0. And we aren't going to go 2 years in a row with no portal losses. We're going to have like 6-8 scholarships available.

I believe landing Griffen will move us up from the 11th to the 4TH ranked class in the country. But, we will remain the 3rd best in the SEC behind UK and Arky.
It's too bad our JUCO guy doesn't count in the rankings. He'll count on the court though.

Are we after Leonard Miller or Elijah Fisher or both?

It's getting to the point where it's almost like football. Top 10 class overall is good for middle of the pack in the conference. The good news is that in basketball it doesn't really matter as much. If the conference as a whole is deemed elite by the media ala the B1G, you simply have to win 6 or 7 conference games to be a bubble team.

Here is the 247 write up on Griffen, FYI
And this is a report from the Elite 14 Showcase (Oklahoma/Texas kids) a few days ago
Kid sounds like he was built by Nate Oats in a lab. Long, athletic, twitchy, raw, aggressive. And even his negative matches up perfectly - "shot selection". Welp, we'll fix that
quote:
A scoring guard whose game is predicated upon upside, Griffen will be as good as he wants to be in the game of basketball. He has the tools to evolve into a high-level defender and the upside to be a tough shot maker who can put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways. Griffin can score from all three-levels on the floor and is a solid shooter but he could still use some improvement in that area of the game. Improving his shot selection at times could enhance his development in that area and increase his overall field goal percentages. He has solid length combined with elite bounce. If given a path to the rim, he is bound to make something special happen above the rim that is highlight worthy. A very thin and slight framed swingman, adding weight and muscle will be key in Griffen's production at the high major level. Overall, Griffen is an extremely talented prospect. His ceiling will be determined by him getting physically and functionally stronger and remaining engaged in all areas that impact winning.

It was an efficient day for Rylan Griffen on the offensive end yesterday. The four-star swingman played the most mature brand of basketball I have seen from him to this point. He took and made good shots and was locked in on both ends. I cannot describe enough how much upside is there. Whether it be Alabama, Georgia, Kansas State, or Oklahoma, just know that some lucky program will receive a talented long-term piece on Tuesday. Hia game will continue to elevate as his body matures and his skill level continues to enhance.

It's nice to not be concerned about basketball recruiting. Oats knows what kind of players fit his program and our assistants are great at locking them up. We also seem to have found a nice balance between instant impact guys and 2-4 year players. For the first time in my adult life I have zero complaints about Alabama basketball. I'm sure that will change in a few hours after we have a sloppy as frick first half full of turnovers and uncontested missed shots, but for now I am content.

nah, whats going to restore the rightful order of the world is when jd does an in game dunk from half court which will not only save the looney tune world but it will cause the other team to forfeit, end world hunger, create world peace, and most importantly make every auburn fan literally explode from their sheer jealousy while they screamed ''but he can only dunk'' which will in turn create a fireworks display of the heavens. oh right, and were gonna win it all this year. i dont care who doubts it, please stay as modest as you want. as a lifelong bama fan i get it but for me, this year is WERE TAKING OVER THIS BITCH ROLLTIDE MOTHERfrickERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Auburn is about to play a potential tourney level mid-major that is known for playing ugly games and has a very good big man who is going to give the two highest rated recruits in Auburn history fits... and I can't fricking wait
We are entering into that glorious time of the year that the holidays are approaching and football and basketball are happening simultaneously. Soak it in gentlemen
