He had some really sweet seats for 20+ years when I was growing up but canceled them after getting fed up with the late-stage Grant product. He renewed them under Avery but the seats aren't nearly as good. Went from midcourt 15 rows up to baseline 22 rows up.
That’s how it’ll be for me as well. I doubt the inventory will be sold out before then, but that would really suck.

Herb 46.
Herb feels a lot like Mikail Bridges without great shooting ability.
Find it hard to believe a Mikail Bridges defender with some possible secondary handling + shooting upside is only 46

CJ Massinburg was a perfect fit for Oats offense. Buffalos offense in 2018 was like a well oiled machine.

New mock draft up on ESPN, accounting for the Memphis-New Orleans trade as well as updates in the rest of the first round:
CBS has their mock draft up and has this for Primo:
1st Round - #26 Houston Rockets
quote:
While Joshua Primo didn't serve in a feature role for SEC-winning Alabama last season, what he did in a secondary role scoring the ball, rebounding it and showing off range was impressive. And now that he's opted to stay in the draft teams are thrilled about his future potential, given he's the youngest player in this year's draft. If his on-ball abilities shown in spurts at Bama and at the combine turn into something real he'll be a late-first steal.

They have him going 23rd it looks like. That would be good.

Houston taking 3 SGs in the first round?
Posted on 7/27/21 at 8:30 am to RollTide4Ever
Houston has 3 picks in first round. #2, #23 and #24. I think they're likely to trade one of the pick though.
Primo is probably going to be gone before #23, My gut feeling.
Petty is probably going undrafted.
JOnes is late first round pick to early 2nd round pick.

Agreed. Someone is going to fall in love with Primo who doesn't have an immediate need for him, if he does improve those ball skills he's going to be a steal.
Petty is not getting drafted, I think he's realizing this now based on his latest tweets.
I feel like Herb is going to be a Celtic. Great on defense, position versatility, and I feel like they always take guys who need to improve their shooting.

Anyone else see or read the Q & A with our AD in the Bham News on Sunday? Some of the questions involved basketball.
One question regarding football was when they would start phase 2 of Bryant Denny construction of the previously announced building program. Byrne said he has gone on record that there are access problems to the upper deck, but he has not given that one second of thought to the second phase. Until we resolve the issues related to mens and womens basketball and ladies gymnastics we wont be doing anything else.
One question was whether a new bball arena was still being considered. I think he said it basically hasnt been removed from consideration (not his exact words). He was asked when they might actually begin construction. He said if a new arena is built, the study phase would take at least a year and a half. He said we would need some significant contributions to do that, but we are working on that as we speak.
Again, those we not his exact words, but that was my take.
He was asked what are some of the funny e mails he gets or persistent e mails.
Will the football team wear while helmets? No.
Will there be a live elephant on the sidelines? No
And, he said I get a lot of emails from Nate Oats, Kristy Curry and Dana Duckworth about plans for construction on the arena.
Also he was asked about whether we lost 70 million as was projected. He said a lot of season ticket holders didnt ask for their money back, so that added 11 million to the revenue. And he said although no one took a pay cut and no one lost their job, but they cut costs by over 20 million. Some by a hiring freeze. I suspect travel costs went down considerably when the everything fell apart.
My take on the bball arena, (and its probably wrong) is if they can get some significant contributions then they would go into the studay phase of building a new arena. He wasnt asked where, but that might be part of the study phase.

Honestly, I don't think Coleman is that bad. If they could just do significant upgrades on the inside, I would be fine with staying there. I know a new arena is exciting and maybe Oats wants one too but Alabama could put a lot of money into certain upgrades and it would look completely different without having to play somewhere else for a year.

I'll disagree. I love Coleman mainly from all the memories I have there, but it's a really bad arena for fans. Horrible sight lines, and the rows are too shallow leaving most of the fans too far from the action.

This is where I am. It's a great location, and if it's feasible to do that while dramatically changing the interior aesthetic, let's do it.

Yeah, that's what I was proposing. The arena itself doesn't need to be torn down and like you said the location is already great. Just upgrade the interior and alter the seating.

He also said it would cost at least 150 million to build a new arena.

“I think it makes our league a lot stronger,” Oats said on The Paul Finebaum Show. “Those are two high-level basketball programs. I don’t have anything to do with any of those decisions -- when they come in, if they come in, any of that. I think we’ve got the best commissioner in college athletics in Greg Sankey, and I think he’ll make great decisions for our league. But if and when they were to come in our league, I think they’ve got eight combined Final Fours.
“You look at the pros that have come out of both those programs. They’ve got some of the better pros in the NBA right now when you look at Buddy Hield and Trae Young at Oklahoma, Blake Griffin, and Texas has Kevin Durant. Shoot, I grew up in Wisconsin, I’m a Bucks fan, and PJ Tucker helped us win a championship. There’s been some legitimate pros come out of both those programs, they’ve won a lot of games, there’s a lot of tradition.
“I think it’s gonna make our league a lot tougher. I’m looking forward to playing tough teams, but it’ll definitely upgrade the overall talent in our league and make it an even better basketball league.”

Alabama, Notre Dame and Texas A&M offered 2022 Grand Blanc (MI) F Ty Rodgers.
This kid played really well in a game I watched at the Peach Jam.
ETA: 247 lists him as a SF, but he was running the point when I was watching and I was thinking to myself that I was surprised that Nate wasn't after this kid. From Michigan and he's about 6'7" 200 lbs with some ball handling skills.
