We easily fill 15,000 for conference games when we are good. We don't need to cut 1/3 of that.

I think 11-12,000 right on top of the floor is perfect. Would be a tough ticket for conference games and be pretty filled for weeknight games in November.

Without looking it up, I'd guess we've averaged around 12,000 since Grant's first year.

Yea I'd guess

15,000 weekend SEC games
10-12K weeknight SEC games (depending on time and opponent)
6-8K weeknight OOC games pre-SEC play

An arena of 11K or so would be perfect, IMHO. Not too big to feel empty on those November nights against Jacksonville State, but also not so small that you have 6,000 people that want to get in the door that can't, but still have healthy demand that breeds excitement.

Wouldn't surprise me if part of the funding deficiencies are made up for with a corporate sponsorship deal unfortunately.

While I love Conecuh, don’t need sausage worked into the coliseum name.

My gosh, I can live off of grilled Conecuh sausage. It’s so good.

Build it on the Bryce land and call it "The Asylum".

Hopefully it won't be a 9000 seater. They should model it after some great NBA arenas. Like the one in Nashville too.

With college basketball, it's usually lower capacities. Nashville has 19,000+ for basketball. It'll probably be half that size.

There are bodies up there buried and not marked from long ago and they think a good many. Digging in that area will be a nightmare.

Love the quote Alabama Fan, but I don't think it applies to Justin. He was a great high school player, not so much in college (though he was money on free throws), and if can coach high school basketball for number of years, he can make a good living with retirement funding and health insurance. That like is not bad in America today, definitely not astray - or awry, awry Burns said.
