Good to know about Bristow. If he can give us Mo D minutes and effort with his athleticism, we should be in good shape as long as everyone else stays healthy in the frontcourt.

We need another big. Williamson is going to struggle in the SEC. You can't just have Sherrel and Williamson as bigs.

You based that on one practice video. He has 4 or 5 months to get better. That's what summer practices are for.

I can see why you would think that was what I based it upon. Watch his tape. He is going to struggle in this league. He is not Bediako, Omoruyi, etc. He is not going to block shots, defend the rim and rebound. He does not have SEC athleticism.

I think this is the second report we’ve gotten on Williamson struggling. You aren’t going to hit on every transfer. Every now and then one will be a miss.

Williamson will be fine.
This is what the off-season is for...CONDITIONING & DEVELOPMENT!
He will get better before the season starts! Williamson might need to shed a little weight though in the process.

I agree!
People got to understand that it takes a minute for some to get acclimated to this system or level.
Williamson has the tools to be extremely good but now it's up to conditioning, development, and coaching to get the best out of him.

I haven't been blown away by Williamson since the day we signed him. That said, a 7 foot center who averaged 18 and almost 8 rebounds a game in division 1 at any level is probably a pretty solid back up compared to most back up centers in this league. His rim protection will probably be disappointing and he seems to be pretty turnover prone based on the numbers, but a center who was the focal point of the offense for a d1 team should bring a decent skillset.

All this whining. Williamson has a different skill set than a Big Cliff. He might need to get used to the speed but I firmly believe he will adjust, a basketball player is a basketball player and he can play. He's more a finesse type IMO and if they play off him and sag under the basket like for instance UF loves to do they will pay.

A 7 ft guy who is a "little slow", "needs conditioning" and needs to "drop a few pounds" but has good upside is the perfect description of one who may be really good in Oat's system toward the end of his SECOND year here.

Baron was Baron, didn’t make many 3s but everything else looked really good. Bristow length impressed me jumps well going to be a good defender, made most of his 3s during 5 on 5. Aiden played well, shot lights out, seemed to dunk easier than last year
