This team with just Rylan and Bristow is a top 25 team. This team with LP, Rylan and Bristow is top 15, borderline top 10.

With just Rylan and Bristow the frontcourt is hilariously inexperienced and lacking quality depth. And is counting on somehow developing one of our many SG into a serviceable PG. If everything works out absolutely perfectly they're fringe top 25. With Philon back I agree they jump to top 10-15 quality. And yet they'd be one Philon injury away from being back in boat number 1. It's perfectly reasonable to be concerned at this point in the off-season.

“It’s perfectly reasonable” to assume you are a troll. You’ve been here 6 months and all you’ve done is slam the program, cast doubt about it or offer faint praise. Hopefully, you will be ignored from hence forward.

Pardon me but that's horseshite. This roster as is plus Rylan and Bristow as the lone additions is a 7 or 8 seed at best and 50/50 to make it out of the first weekend. Especially with how brutally Nate schedules. And spare me the "I have faith in Oats" speil. So do we all. But being realistic that we've kinda struck out in the portal on our biggest needs so far is just being realistic not having a lack of faith.

not that im discounting the more glaring question marks the roster has but nah, it still has too many high potential guys to make such an assumption. sure you could end up being right but talent wise alone id say its way ahead of the 21-22 team and they ended up as a 6th seed despite below average shooting, rojas's dumbass at center, and shacks horrible iverson impressions. the faith in oats thing isnt just a spell, its a very well established commodity at this point. assuming rylan does join, even he could still have a breakout senior year, levi style. either way i for one wont start worrying anytime soon.

Some of y'all act as if players can't get better at something! Like I think Aden Holloway was better defensively at Auburn...you know why? It's because they got a good defensive coach. They play good TEAM DEFENSE!

Alabama doesn't have that.

So the most important decision this off season is...who will be the next assistant coach!

Development is key!
Team Defense needs to be better!

I'm not worried about this team at all. I think we can have a top ten team!

Drew Williamson
Bol Bowen
London Jemison
Amari Allen
Jalil Bethea

I'm very high on these guys!

Been a disappointing portal season so far. I hesitate to complain too much, though, since I refuse to donate beyond my season ticket purchase. Oats will have us at least somewhat competitive regardless of the roster composition.

I like the pickup. Seems to have a lot of upside.

So getting a former top 10 player, a player that Kentucky wanted and two players of the year in their conference is disappointing?

Nice pickup. Will be a project but a lot of upside. Hopefully he sticks around more than a year.

Glad to have better Jarin on the team

Jarin's biggest probably is he played like a giant pussy. He's got great potential, but needs to figure it out mentally. Hopefully Bristow is a dog.

It's not a bad haul on its own, but in the context of our losses it's pretty underwhelming, unless we're somehow able to get Philon back.

I don't think we would take someone out of the portal unless we thought they could contribute immediately. Everyone is a one-and-done now.

This is entirely based upon NIL. Oats has so much less to work with then the big dogs. This is what likely leads him elsewhere. I have been told there is a very good chance this is his last year.

He was very frustrated with how hard he had to work to get Preston Murphy a raise and he realizes he cannot compete with many of the other schools at this point.

I think this current roster is in trouble for next year without a Philon return. Holloway is not a starter. He is not a point guard and he does not play defense. Wrightsell is coming of a torn achilles. We have no idea what he will bring. They need Philon to return.

I don't think he goes anywhere until his daughters are through school and if he wanted to go somewhere with more NIL or resources for basketball he wouldn't have turned down the Kentucky and Texas jobs.

Dude North Carolina has unlimited NIL funds and we beat them out last year for Cliff and Stevenson. It’s not always about money. Kansas spent way more than we did and they barely made the tournament. We have a coach who has taken lesser talented teams to a a top eight seed. We are gonna be fine.

Oats is leaving, the roster is shite, we have no point guard, no money, our best player is playing with our emotions about returning, everyone we get is a step down from last year.

Did I cover all of the basics?

(mistaken and joka will be here soon to give me some sunshine pumping)

Assuming his contract doesn’t get renegotiated this year (I’m betting it will), whoever hires him after 3/31 would owe UA 10MM and 18MM if it happened before 3/31. I don’t see it.
