At least we don't have to hear that one poster complain about him everyday.

With Stevenson I think the issue some people had wasn’t what he was, it’s what they thought he was going to be and never became.

He’s a solid role player, I just didn’t see anything from him last year to make me think he was about to become an elite guy.

He’s a stretch 4 who shoots 31% from 3 and doesn’t really have a position he can defend because he’s too soft for the post and too slow for the perimeter.

I’m guilty of thinking he could be a Robert Horry type but he never got there for us.

Usually when a guy reclassifies, plays fine as a freshman, makes 5 3s to get us into the final 4, tests NBA waters, and comes back for what would normally be a freshman season but is instead his second season you expect to see a big jump. It just never happened.

Wasn’t he rumored to have injury issues? Could explain the lack of a consistent outside shot.

End of the day it’s 2025 NIL era CBB and im sure not gonna lose any sleep over it, I wish him well wherever he lands and thanks for his incredible game in the tournament last year.

He’ll find someone next year to be a dickhead about.

This probably means Reid is staying though I’d imagine

Fwiw, Bama's IG page reposted an old Reid highlight so hopefully that's a good sign.

Reid said post game at elite 8 he was planning on coming back. Obviously stuff can change but you don’t normally make those declarations publicly unless that’s your intent.

Mo, Philon, and Jarin (and Wrightsell, but he since has) were the only players that didn’t say immediately after the game they planned to be back.

What will that retard who was obsessed with jarin post about now?

If it's good length that's underutilized but had great potential, he can post about my genitals.

BYU supposedly is paying Robert Wright $3.5 million. So that's $8.5-10.5 million they're spending on just 2 players.

Robert Wright?? I mean... he's a nice young player, but not anything special. Dybantsa? Sure. But, that seems absurd to pay for Wright. Seems like poor use of money to me.

They need to change that “Do not contact” tag to “Do not contact; already been tampered”.

May be in the minority, but I hate to see Stevenson leave. He’s still so young and you can see he has all the tools to be a beast.

Same. His issues are very fixable and he's still 19 years old.

That because it is absurd.

BYU is all in next year. It's a perfect storm of cultish religion mixed with bored billionaire boosters.

It’s also a perfect storm of a major university and all its tax breaks and a religion and their bullshite tax breaks. Easy to buy players when you’ve got 17 million morons giving you 10% of their money and the government doesn’t get a cent of it.

Yeah. Regarding Murphy, technically he's not a good system fit because he's not a good shooter or transition guy, but considering our need, we really could use a guy like him. A good, tough interior defender, rebounder, and clean-up scorer that shoots 2's at a high percentage. We need that a lot to go with our other front court guys

Would of rather just kept Mo Diaboute

Don't want to be negative but I would prefer Steveson over Bol Bowen. Looks skinny to me in highlights and same height as Jarin.

Best we ever been as a program. I hope they're not running these players off if they wanted to be here and was a good teammates and workers. I hope it's cause we couldn't pay enough.

Portal giveth and take. To have a complete deck is going to take some maneuvering. Don't feel like we stack up in the portal with the big boys cash.

I think he has slow feet and you cannot fix that. He can’t dribble drive and most of the time can’t shoot well. You need quick feet to be good in bball. There are exceptions like Larry Bird, but he could shoot the ball

I think you have to look at it more in totality.

The best guy we’re getting in Bethea. The best guy we’re losing is Jarin. That’s a tough trade, but Bethea is more of a need and has more upside.

Bol Bowen or Mo? Again, Bol Bowen has more upside. Longer, better shooter. Presumably won’t come back asking for more money every other Tuesday. They were in the same class and ranked almost the same out of high school and again now in the portal.

And then Naas or Williamson. It was worth taking a flyer on Naas but clearly something wasn’t clicking so if Williamson does literally anything that’s a net positive.

Guys are going to leave. I was bummed about Mo. I’m even more bummed about Jarin. But I’m extremely excited about the guys we’re bringing in.

Dioubate is wayyyy better than Stevenson at this point. You can’t name two things Stevenson does better than Mo D on the basketball court.

Mo D shot 46% from three this year while Jarin shot 31%.

Do you think you know more basketball than Nate Oats? Because he started Jarin in about half the games and played him more minutes. So I don’t have to name 2 things he does better. I’ll let the guy making millions of dollars a year who is our best coach ever be the judge. And he already was.
