I’ve been pretty impressed with the crowds so far, hoping this one has a strong showing and that the flow of the game is better than Friday.

The Will Wade dislike factor should help.

Is there a more punchable face in all of college basketball than Will Wade?

If Cliff or Sherrell aren't able to contribute enough offensively to offset being a step slow against a 6'9" 5 who can step out and shoot the 3

If our centers can’t punish G5 teams for going small then we have bigger issues.

Lol. Less than 10 minutes into the game, and we have Reid and.MoD running the 4/5. Not even sure who was the center. 5 minutes later, now it's Stevenson playing the 3 with Nelson and Cliff

That blown call on the OOB allowed them to go on a run

We don’t look like a #2 team right now. They are going to get better, and I don’t really want to see us peaking in November, but that was an ugly display in the 2nd half.

Think we’ll look better against Purdue. We have the bigs to give more traditional style teams fits.

It’s the small super athletic teams that are going to be tricky with our squad.

It's not even that.

We have the wrong guys on the court!

Our bigs couldn't out-rebound McNeese's undersized lineup. McNeese is not a good rebounding team and were basically dead even with us.

Too many bad lineups by Nate. Too many lineups with ball stoppers offensively

It’s a little concerning we haven’t been able to play with a big lead against them or Arkansas State. If the team needed any early wake up calls, they’ve now gotten two of them. Let’s hope they look and play a lot better Friday.

I think Oats is doing a lot of experimenting with different lineups. You don't know what works until you try it. The second half was frustrating as hell. But definitely not need to panic.

Based on what I saw in game 2 it appears that Nelson, Sears, Wrightsell are going to be in the mix as the game wears on whether they are starters or not. Wrightsell was plus 17 in game 3 with 15 points off the bench. Cliff would be my 4th starter. The other one is a crap shoot. Stevenson was a plus 16 with only 4 points.

I only watched the last 12 minutes of this last game but we were stinking it all and went at least 6-7 minutes without a FG.

Oats has leaned on the returning guys when things got close the last two games. I think he’s still figuring out which lineups he likes best and which players he can depend on.

I don’t think he’s really thinking about matchups yet, but it will be something that will come into play as we get more film on our guys and our opponents.

One thing about this team is we can matchup a lot of different ways. It may just take a couple of months to see it in effect game in and game out.

Probably. A slow start to the season is nothing new. I have no idea why anyone is panicking.

Exactly. We are 4 games into the season and trying to work in multiple new players. And, he is missing the most valuable transfer in Youngblood, who was the co-AAC player of the year and shot 41% from 3 last year. And, he is an almost 23 year old man. They will be fine. Give it some time.

Agree completely. I was exceptionally high on Youngblood and really bummed by his injury when it came out. That said, I want to be cautiously optimistic with him. Coming back from a pretty serious injury and not really able to do true basketball cardio or truly keep his game polished, I anticipate he may need a month of games to get back to what he is capable of.

For the other guys, I think Nate is doing open auditions through these first 3 games and maybe even more. Seeing who responds in the moment and who might need less playing time. He is giving them all a fair shot. At times I feel like that has allowed for some selfish basketball or maybe trying to do to much, from guys who are trying to prove themselves.
