Woj doesn’t get things wrong. If he’s putting it out there it’s done.

But I agree that is a weird hire. LeBron is going to do what he wants and Hurley is such a unique personality. Closest I can think of that LeBron has ever dealt with is Pat Riley in the FO for the Heat and that did not end well.

Also between LeBron and Hurley the NBA will need to set aside 45 minutes each game for bitching and crying at the refs

Probably just misinformation planted on purpose. Klutch does shite like that. They probably are trying to counter the narrative that Lebron handpicked JJ and runs the lakers org by himself

Pretty sure it isn't

It's not his personality, it's his resumé. The only way you can deal with LeBron as a coach is if you have as much credibility with the other 14 guys on the roster as he does. Spoelstra literally only survived it because Riley backed him 1000% and was able to nip the LeGM bullshite in the bud because he's Pat fricking Riley. Hurley has no NBA experience as a player or on a coaching staff, so he's got to earn respect from a locker room run by LeBron. Ain't gonna happen. He'll be head coach in name only by Christmas.

Well, in fairness to LeBron(which I hate doing because frick him) they coach he seemed to like the most was Ty Lue who had no head coaching experience but has proven to be a great in game coach. LeBron tried to have Spo fired halfway through his first year.

He openly didn’t respect Darvin Ham and would take the board from him to draw up plays. Frank Vogel(who isn’t the best coach in the world) was sort of a mixed bag.

I think LeBron will be ok with his X’s and O’s to a point(he still wants to do what he wants to do) but I could see them clashing

Tell me how that didn't end well? Didn't they win championship?

I don't even know where you got the LeBron doesn't like Spo stuff from as well.

He tried getting him fired and Pat Riley flat out told him It wasn’t happening and Lebron was gonna have to make it work with Spoelstra. That 100% happened

Lebron is a coach killer.

If I'm the Lakers, Hurley is a guy I'm hiring after the LeBron circus leaves town.

The first in a series of articles highlighting the Bama newcomers :

Alabama Basketball Newcomer Breakdown: Clifford Omoruyi (SI)

Omoruyi, an all-conference level defender, looks to fill the hole on the defensive interior that plagued the Crimson Tide last season.

Last I checked many coaches won championships they couldn't win without Lebron... with him.

Just admit it, you hate the guy and need to demonize him.

In the end Lebron is a fan of Hurley and when this works out all you guys will do is pivot to a different angle which paints Lebron as badman.

Yeah man. Like everything else LeBron looks back on Spo with fondness. It’s publicly documented he wanted him fired halfway through the first year.

How did it not end well with Riley? They pretty openly don’t like each other. Riley called him out after he left for Cleveland and LeBron basically refuses to acknowledge him. Yes they won a couple of championships(not 5…not 6….) but it was a very messy ending and 2 of the 4 years ended with embarrassment. They are a Ray Allen miracle 3 and a healthy Boston Celtics away from winning nothing.

Riley was mad Lebron left. What that tells me is he wants the guy to stay, not that it didn't workout.

They literally won championships. They loved that guy.

He left to go home and win a championship for his home state. What a horrible person!

In the end, I'm seeing a trend of how you guys can't separate how you personally feel about Lebron from who he is as a player and how others feel about him.

You don’t think it’s weird that despite him being the best player in the world for a good 10-15 years and being in the finals almost every year he still had 6 Head Coaches fired and tried to get a 7th?

Being Lebron HC means you are basically a scapegoat who gets fired when you don’t win. Darvin Ham is a good coach who they should have kept.

I don’t mind LeBron as a basketball player. I just find him incredibly corny and cringe. Everything is always someone else’s fault.

From the video of him saying he knew Kobe would score 80, to him switching has favorite team(I’m a Yankees fan…actually Indians…Cowboys errr I mean Browns. I’m an Ohio St fan now even though I leave Ohio and my son would also rather play in Southern Cal.)

The final straw for me was him sending a cease and desist to Alabama/Saban for the barbershop series like he invented the idea of people talking in a barbershop. That’s a bitch made move from a bitch made guy.

Also I didn’t say it didn’t work I said it didn’t end well. Riley and LeBron are on bad terms.

I think when he leaves the Lakers that will be the only place he has a good relationship with ownership/management and that’s because Jeanie Buss just bends over for whatever he wants to do.
