I’d love to see some of these players move the hell on and let us move on with different kinds players after the season.

One of these days some yoked 6'9" 250 pound forward is going to be so fed up with Floppin's bullshite that he's going to get a Bill Laimbeer clothesline to the chest. And that guy, even if he plays for Auburn or LSU, will immediately become my favorite non-Alabama player.

Rojas got hammered everytime he went down low.

Pippen would get touched and get the call.

45 free throws? are you kidding?

and their big guy wallowing around on the floor trying to get a call after he got called for the block? That's flopping. How do the refs just let that go? They are supposed to warn them and then call it.

^^^^^^^^^ I'd take Oklahoma in round 1 at this point. They are as unpredictable as us.

He got a whistle on a play where Ellis literally made zero contact with him at all. It would almost be funny if it wasn't such bullshite. He's a mediocre athlete whose entire game is predicated on foul baiting, the refs know it, and he still gets away with it. I don't think there's another player anywhere in college basketball who is given more leeway to use his off arm on a drive. He aggressively uses his left arm to clear out space damn near every time he tries to get to the basket, and I have never seen him get called for it. Ever.

Had to be at least 16 or so. They were in the bonus with about 15 minutes left and the double bonus with about 9 left.

Coach Bryant showed he could adapt

NS showed he could adapt

So far Oats has not shown he can adapt and do you guys have confidence he can figure it out long term and tweak or adapt what his teams are doing?

Anyone have confidence that this team will advance past game one in the dance?

Those guys adapted after seasons of failure in one area or another. Oats hasn't even had a chance to adapt yet as his season of "failure" is literally still ongoing, so I'm not going to say he "hasn't shown he can adapt" when he hasn't even had the chance to yet.

I mean no, why would anyone have confidence in that.

Oats needs his players to stop turning it over. I'm not sure how you adapt to do that besides getting new players and they are are coming. I guarantee you there's a 'stop turning it over' discussion before every game. When your 2 point guards are the issue, there's not another move.

Yea I'm not sure what the answer is there. At some point the guys on the roster just can't handle the ball. There are ways to hide some deficiencies. There isn't much of a way to hide your two primary ballhandlers being fumble fingers.

Quinerly signing an NIL deal with fricking Butterfinger sums up this team really, really well.

Seriously though, if you have two PGs on your roster and neither can defend, neither can shoot, only one can score around the rim, they're both turnover machines, and the one that's a senior is a lock to miss multiple FTs and commit a couple of turnovers in the final 5 minutes of a tight game, you're utterly fricked.

I looked up some numbers.

Pippen Jr has 8.3 free throw attempts per game, makes 6 free throws per game.

Colin Castleton is second in the SEC in attempts per game, at 5.7. Eason is at 5.6. Molinar at 5.5. They are the only 3 over 5 attempts. AND JR IS AT 8.3!

Jr makes more free throws per game than anyone else even attempts.

He has managed to turn flopping into a legitimate form of offense. I'm not sure where he gets off talking so much shite when the refs are 2/3rds of his game.

Good grief that was a frustrating game to watch last night. Even though we lost to LSU it was a good game and fun to watch. This was a slog to get through. In the second half I think both teams nearly averaged a whistle per possession.

We're a tournament team for the second straight year coming off a regular season/conference tournament championship. Oats isn't perfect and there are a few decisions that I wasn't the biggest fan of but I'm not going to question him long-term when the season isn't even finished yet and with this roster, it feels like he's had to coach with one arm tied behind his back.

Now if we see a lot of the same issues next year, with the most talented class ever coming in and hopefully a key transfer or two, then okay yeah I'll start having more doubts.

Yep, missing a free throw is not a big deal but continually missing them in big spots is. It's mental for him.

Holt took one three and was so in his own head, he literally aimed it and shoved it up there. That's not a good sign, although he played better for the most part.

a shooter that hasn't been able to shoot, odd
fg% - 20%
3% - 10%
FT % - 60^
