I'm surprised more folks don't split the tix with folks. Getting half is about all I can make and that takes a good bit of effort.

Arkansas game tix sales looks good, maybe 1000 or so left.

It seems like there could be a time limit on showing up to claim your seat. After the time limit, your seat becomes available.

If it’s like baseball, they’ll have folks standing at the top of the aisles to premium seating (or at the elevators to the clubs and boxes) and you can’t proceed without a ticket. They originally did that at baseball for all Tide Pride seating but gave up (rightfully so) after the first year. They slowly whittled it back - now I think you can sit anywhere in the stadium after the 3rd inning except in premium seating (behind home plate, the .525 club and skyboxes). That’s why there are typically only a dozen or so folks behind home plate - most with connections to the athletic department. The skyboxes are sold out, but for any given game only one or two are actually open (except for big SEC weekends).

Today in Coleman, you can’t get to the premium (floor) seats without a ticket. At least initially, I’m thinking premium seats will be off limits without a ticket. (Notice in the announcement the reference to new “premium options in club, loge, courtside and lower-level preferred seating”). I would be very surprised if Byrne was checking to see which top dollar donor was sitting in their seat in the new arena after they’ve paid up. Maybe they’re watching from one of the premium clubs that comes with their contribution?

The new student section alone should create a great atmosphere for the players. I’m not optimistic the premium (aka lower level and floor) seating will be much different than it is today. Just more expensive.

Men's Basketball Hosts #5 Kentucky on Saturday
Coleman Coliseum will be packed again on Saturday night for Alabama's matchup against No. 5 Kentucky! We'll be honoring the 1990-91 SEC Championship team at halftime. We hope you enjoy the game. Roll Tide!

My dad has had season football tickets since 1993 and basketball tickets for 2 years now (and only because they just moved to Tuscaloosa after retirement or it would have been both since 93), so he's in a decent spot on the list but definitely not at the top.
When it comes to season tix I'm a BOG so I have zero shot at the new arena.

I agree with you completely, but these are the kind of people who buy courtside season tickets they have no intention of using just to brag to their friends about having courtside seats. They will raise hell if they see some pleb sitting in their seats even if they are watching the fricking game on TV in their house 45 minutes away. I'm pretty sure this actually happened at either Auburn or LSU. Some rich a-hole saw someone sitting in his seats on TV and called the AD to complain

I know they won't do it, but there should be wording in the season ticket contract regarding usage requirements. Scanning tickets for entrance would allow usage tracking. At least that way, the season ticket holder would have to sell or give the ticket to someone going to the game a majority of the time.

the fact this doesn't occur anyway boggles my mind. It's not that hard to find someone who wants them, especially if they are down low, gheesh. Do you care or not?

Don't see a line yet

Torvik : Kentucky by 3.5 (83-79)

Haslem : Kentucky by 5 (82-77)

Yea, a win Saturday would put us in very good shape. 15-8 (5-5) with the remaining schedule (Torvik Ranks)

@ #78 Ole Miss
vs #30 Arkansas
vs #43 Mississippi State
@ #5 Kentucky
@ #91 Vanderbilt
vs #117 South Carolina
vs #63 Texas A&M
@ #19 LSU

Obviously we all know about this teams play to the competition issue, but if they figure that out a little then we should be in good shape. As of today we'll be favored in 6 of our last 9. If we went chalk (LOL), we'd finish 20-11 (10-8), which would probably have us around a #5/6 seed I'd guess.

beating LSU on the last day in Red Stick to make them 8-10 in conference play would be great, six in a row too!

I would love to see them lose @ Vandy tomorrow.

They've got 2 dangerous games coming up with their schedule after that.

If they lose @ Vandy and @ A&M they'd sit at 4-7 with:

- State
- Georgia
- @ USCe
- @ Kentucky
- Missouri
- @ Arkansas
- Alabama

left.

I’d be ecstatic if we got to 20 wins before the SEC tourney because that’d set us up with a nice seed like you said. If we can avoid a 7-10 seed, I think we could do a little bit in the tournament.

Wade whining about the fouls on Saturday already

quote:

"I hate to tell you, (guard Scotty) Pippen at Vanderbilt is fifth in the country in fouls drawn," Wade said. "So if you don't like what you've seen, wait 'til Saturday. Vanderbilt gets fouled on 38% of their possessions on offense, so like four-out-of-10 of their possessions end in a foul. If you don't like what you've seen just wait 'til Saturday, you ain't seen nothing yet."

They've bitched about fouls all season long and their fouling numbers are on the worse end but it isn't like they are outrageous compared to everyone else. They aren't even last in the league.

SEC Play - Free Throw Rate Against
10. Arkansas (39.8%)
11. Texas A&M (40.9%)
12. Alabama (41.0%)
13. LSU (47.1%)
14. South Carolina (48.8%)

I mean, no shite guys, you play defense like you are conducting a TSA patdown. You are going to get called for a ton of fouls.

He is right though, Vanderbilt shoots TONS of free throws, so that game tomorrow is going to be agonizing to watch

FT Rate - Offense (Conference Play)
1. Vanderbilt (45.2%)

So a team that shoots basically gets half their points via FT vs a team that allows half their points via free throw.

Yikes!

On the one hand, Pippen is an All American flopper. Like if you even breathe on him he's flailing his arms and falling down. On the other hand, Will Wade can get fricked with a cactus.

I mean, we all know what we are and how frustrating we can be. But LSU the last 3 weeks........yikes. I know they had injuries, but still.....

LSU - Last 3 weeks (per Torvik)
1-5 (1-4)
#115 nationally
#12 SEC
#193 offense
#77 defense
#298 eFG%
#190 eFG% defense
#328 2pt FG%
#263 2pt FG% defense
#321 turnover rate
#344 defensive rebounding
#346 free throw rate against

Alabama Out of Conference Team Update (NET Rank)

#1 Gonzaga (18-2) (7-0) (W)

#2 Houston (19-2) (8-0) (W)

#5 Baylor (19-3) (7-2) (W)

#50 Davidson (18-3) (8-1) (L)

#58 Iona (18-3) (10-0) (L)

#67 Miami (16-6) (8-3) (W)

#71 Memphis (11-8) (5-4) (L)

#80 South Dakota St (20-4) (11-0) (W)

#85 Drake (17-6) (8-2) (W)

#97 Louisiana Tech (16-6) (7-3) (W)

#104 Oakland (16-5) (9-1) (W)

#125 South Alabama (15-7) (5-4) (W)

#128 Jacksonville State (15-7) (8-1) (W)

The combined conference record of our OOC opponents is 101-21 and we went 10-3.

Honestly, at this point, the only loss of ours that really just absolutely still makes me want to hurl is Georgia.
