Forgive me for not believing any of it. Maybe I'm just bitter and pessimistic, but if getting stomped by Memphis, nearly losing at home to Jax State, and giving up like 170 points in 2 games against Mizzou didn't spark some sort of self reflection from these dudes why would losing to a shitty UGA team?

Not that it means anything at all, but it's a tad interesting that we scored exactly 86 points against Missouri in both games.

Lunardi's latest bracket has us as a 5 seed playing against the winner of the UNC/Oregon play in game.

Can we do score predictions for the Baylor game in this thread or dare we start another thread dedicated to score predictions?

Alabama made 23 3-pointers in that game. Only 6 of those 3s will be on the floor Saturday. And all 6 were from a guy shooting like 10% this year from 3.

I actually think we may win tomorrow and that’s a bigger indictment on Oats and these players than if we were to lose

Last year’s Final Four teams are:
18-2 (Baylor)
17-2 (Houston)
16-2 (Gonzaga)
15-2 (UCLA)
It’s the first time EVER that each Final Four team won at least 15 of their first 17 games the next season.

I’ll be honest, I know how much UCLA returned from last year but thought their mediocre regular season last year was getting over looked. Seems that wasn’t the case and they will be a major threat again. Impressed by that Arizona win this week.

I would not be hsocked if the fellows pull out there best game and nail 45% of 3"s. 33-32 as we oinly shoot 11 3's and nothign else including FT's

Right there with you. Cronin has done a nice job out there and I thought he was a really strange fit at the time he was hired.

I'm hoping we're the UCLA of last year. Not so much in style, but in the fact that we have the right pieces and put it all together at the right moment.

Alabama Set to Host No. 4/4 Baylor in Big 12/SEC Showdown
The Alabama men's basketball team will step outside of conference play for the final time during the 2021-22 regular season when it takes on the No. 4/4 Baylor Bears in the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Saturday afternoon. The contest, which will be televised on ESPN, is set to tip off at 3 p.m. CT.
This year marks the sixth time Alabama has competed in the annual Big 12/SEC Challenge, which enters its 10th season in 2022. It is also the second time the Crimson Tide and Baylor will square off in the annual event, with the Bears securing a 73-68 victory on Jan. 26, 2019 in Waco, Texas. In last season's Challenge, Alabama fell at Oklahoma 66-61 to drop to 3-2 overall in the event. The Tide's three wins all came in home games: Kansas State (77-74 in 2020), Oklahoma (80-73 in 2018) and Texas Tech (76-64) in 2013, which was the first year of the annual event.
Baylor is the third team from the 2021 NCAA Final Four that the Tide will compete against this year – the only team in the nation to have three of last year's Final Four teams on its schedule. Alabama is 2-0 in those contests, defeating then-No. 3 Gonzaga (91-82 in Seattle) and then-No. 14 Houston (83-82 in Tuscaloosa).
Fans are encouraged to wear white to the game, which is sold out.

As much as I want to believe we will win, missing Miles and having Gary limited in this game is killer. Miles gave us a lot of versatility, and we're dangerously thin on the wings. For us to win, we'll need some hot 3-point shooting. Oddly enough, I'm not worried as much defensively, as we will likely be very motivated for this one. We'll need our shooting to finally make a reappearance in this one if we want to have any shot.
