He is one of like 3 or 4 players on our roster who is interested in playing hard before there are 9 minutes left in the game.

a) effort, effort, effort
b) he is a good defender compared to much of the team
c) preferred walk ons at this level are much, much better players than you would expect. That type of kid is still the best player in any average gym they walk into.
