We need some guys riding the pine until they decide to play damn defense.

Time to make a point.

I think we still will be the #1 team in the SEC when it's all said and done but we got work too do and the first thing I would do is put JQ on the bench. He will be sixth man going forward.

Switch it up Coach Oats!!

That's a FACT. He should of use Jusuan Holt as well but didn't.

He refuses to do that or call timeouts early when it's clear we're "doing it again". He doesn't use any tools in his toolbox to change things up or try and jumpstart things.

It's very frustrating.

Honestly no. We lost so many games with Grant and Avery because our offense was trash, but defense was normally pretty good or that’s what my memories say at least. It could also be we played so slow that point totals didn’t get high so I assumed defense was okay and didn’t pay attention to PPP.

2 years into looking like a program that will consistently make the tournament, this board melts over a January loss.

I don't think anyone is melting over losing a game in January. People are pissed at how we lost and who we lost to. Missouri is so bad this year that today was their biggest win as an underdog in 25 years. Today was an epic failure and a major disappointment - not really any other way to categorize it.

Wrong and you will see. James Rojas would have limited Kobe Brown. We didn't have one person that could do that today.

I appreciate the optimism, but Rojas isn’t going to change anything other than giving us five more fouls

Agree

Would not have been melting if we'd lost, say, the Florida game on Wednesday (assuming it wasn't some absolute dog shite effort).

Exactly how I feel. We fell at gang REBOUNDING. Our guards could do a lot better helping the bigs but they just watch at times.

If we are all clamoring for James Rojas to come back and save our season, then that is reason enough to panic alone.

I won't argue with that, but with Rojas on the bench, at about the 10:00 minute mark of the 1st half, I'd have sent him in with instructions to incapacitate #24.

It’s the inexcusable lack of effort that’s so frustrating and frankly provokes anger.

Well, why does Nate Oats say the same thing? We will not be soft when he is back. You might be right about him fouling but guess what they will be HARD FOULS nothing SOFT.

So does Charlie Henry suck as a coach and it was Herb and JP that masked a ton of deficiencies?

He is a good coach! You just got guys who don't want to DEFEND well let me put it this way...they want to defend when they are ready too.

JP & Herb was legit though...

Possibly. This team is also clearly just at a defensive talent deficiency. But they are both individually bad and bad at playing team defense, so part of that has to come back to coaching.

I mean yea, no shite Nate. Possibly should have tried that before the final horn blew during a loss to a 250+ opponent.

Maybe a timeout to make an adjustment or even halftime would’ve been a good place to adjust things
