If we can give players NIL money, can we send them a bill when they don't play hard? Just kidding (kind of)

I thought they would not be able to stay with us defensively but they were great and we failed to match their intensity. Not for the first time this year.

Also, every time we play a half decent squad in Legacy Arena we lose. If we renovate Coleman and play a full season there we may well end up with the worst home record in basketball.

Dang I totally forgot this game was tonight. I wish I could say that I'm shocked we lost, but the team played like crap the previous two games so I'm not shocked at all.
I guess being a top ten team just isn't what they wanted.

I don't care what color they are, I just want smart players that play hard.
On offense, we have too much standing and Avery ball. Nothing but the high ball screen while the other 3 guys stand and wait for a pass. Or a one on one drive while the other four stand at the 3 point line.
We need more movement and variety.
Defensively, we've already discussed the issues with that.
Lastly, we need some leadership. Hopefully they can get it together.

We just aren't attacking. At all. We are playing passive, and the only time we start to play aggressive lately is when we are down late. And then, shocker, we take over games!
If we can't figure out how to play with that mentality for 40 minutes we're fricked.

I miss Herb a lot right now. We'd be undefeated with him on the roster instead of Gurley.

Herb is probably the least skilled player that can do what he does. His effort is just higher than everyone else’s. Once his skills round out more in the NBA he could be in for some all time seasons.

Gurley is shocking. He’s probably barely shooting over 40% and sub 20% from 3.

quote:This is it, and it’s less offensively than defensively. Last year we were harassing the ball, eating up passing lanes, and attacking the boards with a quick look for an outlet. This year, we’re somehow content to let the other team run their offensive set, at whatever pace they like, usually with a decent look at the end of it. And half the time we stand around while they rebound a miss.
We just aren't attacking. At all.
It doesn’t even look recognizable compared to what we saw last season.

Yep. Normally I'd equate it to lacking confidence in what they are doing, but I really don't feel like that's the issue here. This isn't being a step slow because you are thinking too much.
I have no clue what the deal is. We're just so damn passive at everything on both ends of the floor.

If we turn the ball over and go cold shooting they can give us a scare, but we should win going away
Same as saying we will cover. Then two posts later you said "it should be an easy game for us" and followed that up with "we should win the next 4 easily". You have posted multiple bet slips showing how much you think you know about basketball. Let's see the one where you took Davidson to cover!! You can keep the $100 if you just go away.

"Athleticism" is fine...but maybe find a couple of those guys for our team instead of just the couple of token white players cheerleading at the end of the bench.

I think watching Herb and Petty get after it every single possession on defense raised the energy level in general last year, and we just don't have that kind of tone setter this year.

Bediako has gotta gain weight. He was letting a dude on Davidson back him down and wear him out. Rojas wouldn’t let that happen
