I miss Herb a lot right now. We'd be undefeated with him on the roster instead of Gurley.
I love Oats, but at a certain point you have to move on from him and give Tchikou a chance. He doesn't box anyone out, provides no defense, and has been total arse on the offensive end. Hell, give me Rojas at this point...

#Alabama head coach Nate Oats: "I'd rather go into the conference playing some really good teams in non-conference to get exposed on what we have to work on. Our defense has been exposed. We've got to fix it."
Idk if we have the personnel to fix it. We may have to run a different scheme

Completely agree. He does literally nothing sufficiently.

I even agree with this. Rojas sucks, but he's a full speed participant.

We've definitely reached the shake it up part of the skid. Guys need to be a little less comfortable and play with a little more urgency for the team and for their minutes.
Right now there doesn't appear to be much for either.

Yeah I mean Q and JD aren’t just all of a sudden going to become great defenders. Maybe adjust the scheme a little idk

We miss Herb. But Petty had also become a hell of a defender. Even Reese would come in the game with energy and effort even if he had physical limitations. We just don’t have those motor guys this year

In what universe lol, nice reach buddy.
So WIN GOING AWAY doesn't mean a double digit win?? No wonder you suck at gambling. And the parlay you posted didn't have Davidson covering so obviously you didn't think they would which was the point of the original post.

Why didn’t Oats try to get Reese Back? He wouldn’t have counted toward the scholarship limit

The problem is nobody seems able or willing to stand up and demand that guys play with that motor.
Not showing up tonight, after the last 2 outings, is a really bad sign IMHO. The Memphis game was understandable. Even JSU you could chalk up to not respecting them. But 3 straight times just not showing up? That's a MAJOR problem.

Tchikou and KAH should get a chance. Hell, give Holt more minutes for a couple of games too. If it's a disaster at least we know what we have.

We miss certain guys but we also haven’t had guys take that next step. I thought Q was close to becoming one of the best guards in the country late last year. He’s almost taken a step back. His shooting isn’t near as good as it was last year. Also thought Ellis would have more of a breakout season than he’s had.

On a side note, McKillop is awesome.
quote:
“Nate [Oats] gracious pursued playing us. I want to say thanks to him for doing that."
quote:
Bob McKillop: “Roll Tide. … I’m a closet Saban fan."
quote:
Bob McKillop is a fascinating interview. He said he met Bryce Young at a steakhouse in New York City last week.
quote:
McKillop said he was in New York on Tuesday when Stephen Curry got the NBA three-point record. They went to Catch Steak after, and McKillop saw Curry taking a picture with someone. It was Bryce Young.
“He had just been there for the Heisman, and he loves Steph."
quote:
McKillop on Young: “Let me tell you, if Alabama athletics wants to be proud of some young man, the way that guy carried himself — absolutely extraordinary. I don’t know what his reputation is — that was my only interaction with him — oh my goodness. What a model of excellence."
quote:
McKillop said he told Bryce Young’s parents how impressive he found Young and “how articulate he was, how engaged he was, how humble he was. Wow. It was impressive."

Bro I said we Should win going away if we don’t turn the ball over and shoot like arse. Stop being childish, I’ve moved on

Gonna be my least favorite team of all time. All kinds of talent, but just get lost somewhere

I remember Oats saying one of the biggest differences between last year and Year One is that he could threaten to bench guys last year and they knew he was serious because we had depth.... I don’t think we have the depth this year to threaten guys.

I feel like I’m talking to a brick wall you’re actually so fricking stupid.
Says the guy that emphatically said we were going to win the game multiple times, called himself “objective,” all the while calling out the people actually recognizing what was happening. We got lucky to even get it close by hitting some shots but the defense was never good enough to win, and that’s what we have been saying for almost 2 weeks. The refs stopped calling fouls and we hacked them at least 3 times during the comeback. You can’t win with bad defense unless you shoot lights out, and that will cause you to lose games you shouldn’t. Your basketball intelligence is worse than 90% on this thread and your pride/arrogance just amplifies your immaturity and ignorance.
I know I shouldn’t have joined in…”don’t throw pearls before swines,” but maybe someday this guy will grow up and listen. Either that, or he’s a next level troll.

Yea I'm definitely not gonna go that far. I've vehemently hated way too many Alabama teams for this one to come close to matching

Then play scrubs. This is unreal. You have to perform, no matter if you’re flipping burgers or playing basketball. Just going out there isn’t good enough

I said this all year about the Braves and they won the WS.......so maybe I should start doing it for Bama Basketball
