Yep - and I don't think it is by design. We've just played a good schedule against really good coaches and they've won the battle of winning the pace of play against us.
As others have noted, we are passing up good looks from 3 more than any other year.

The "every shot is a heat check" torch was passed from Petty to Miles, but Miles plays half the minutes Petty did.

Does the poor defensive rebounding and length of opponent's possession figure into the pace of play numbers?

Well he is shooting 41% from 3 on the year so he can take as many as he wants if he keeps hitting them at that clip.

Yeah that's my point. Just like Petty, misses do not deter him from taking shots. He could miss 10 in a row and wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on #11. But because he only plays about 15 minutes a night instead of 30+ it limits his opportunities.

Davidson's last 5 opponents (all wins by almost 18ppg) are a combined 18-38. Not very impressive.

We should be able to score at will against their soft & unathletic defense. On offense they’re well disciplined and their guards can shoot. If we turn the ball over and go cold shooting they can give us a scare, but we should win going away

For some reason, I'm not really nervous tonight. I think we'll dominate the boards and coming out firing before conference play gets started.

They’ll be competitive but we have a significant athleticism advantage against them. I think we overwhelm them defensively and have a get back game on offense
