They take the most shots because they don't necessarily have a real good feel for passing. JQ is alright but not good at it.

Yep. Still got a chance to leave with 2 quality wins

Shack was awful on drives and in transition last year too, but no one ever really took those opportunities away from him.

Exactly - and why it all seemingly comes down to aggressiveness from Keon and JD.

Yeah with Shack and his driving. I remember about 3 of them where he threw up erratic shots outnumbered.

The one fast break he passed on I remembered he ended up in front of the person he passed it to stopping his momentum.

Soon as he got the ball on last possession he just threw it up with 8 or more seconds left and about two people on him. Granted he got fouled but still

I'm not knocking or saying bench him just frustrating when he tries to do to much. Wish he'd play more team ball instead of trying to be the lead score every game. Feel like he's the only one who tries to hard even though others have bad mistakes also.

Oh well, time to let it go and support them next time. Hopefully they'll learn and grow from this.

Iona came to play and were physical.

I thought Q was tilted and should have came out for a bit. Oh and yea, gotta hit free throws.

I'm pissed but more-so because we lost to a mid-major early in a regular season tournament for the 1000th time. However, I don't think Iona is a bad team and thought the point spread was a little shocking. I think there is a lot of overreaction to this game, as we often do on here (me included). Iona isn't a bad team and we're early into a season where we had some major changes to our roster. It's annoying, upsetting, beyond frustrating, but this isn't some kind of indication for a disaster season. One of the best seasons in our program's history had a loss at home to a similar team (I'd wager Iona being better) toward the end of non-conference play.

Yep, and it was the first game not at Coleman. It was a good wake up call to the guys and they will learn to play neutral sites tougher.

Just get out of this tournament with 2 quality wins. And find a way to win 1 of the big 3 coming up.

That puts us at 7-3 with JSU and a tough Colorado State team. Win both of those and go into conference play 9-3 with multiple solid Non-Conference Wins.

9-9 or even 8-10 in SEC with our schedule gets us in the NCAA tournament.

Not bad, but he's made 8 3s all season.

I don't buy him being great (consistently) from 3 for this team.

November losses in basketball are virtually inconsequential.
As long as the team learns valuable lessons , like play the full 40 minutes, then it's not all that bad.
That saying, we'll need to play better ball over the next 3 for sure

There's literally nothing to base that off of, but okay.

Keon is the better shooter and he needs to take more shots.

I love Keon, but he is not the better shooter. Good shooter, but Shack is our best shooter. Keon just has much better shot selection. Shack could learn a lot from him in this regard. I also wish Keon would learn from Shack to be more aggressive. We need both of those things to reach our potential.

First MAAC team to beat a top 10 team ever. Previously was 0-119.

Damn you ESPN

Lol no! Shack takes the most shots but he's not the better shooter. If Keon took as many shots as Shack you would know. Shack's the better scorer maybe

Maybe this is what these boys needed to lock in

Tomorrow will say a lot and we still have a lot of quality games and potential wins in front of us.

Id love to see Iona again in the tourney rn for some reason (I absolutely shouldn’t but here we are). I feel like our boys would be pissed and just want to skull drag them. Too bad they didnt do that tonight. Also can we blame the guy in here who said we weren’t losing after the oakland game? LMAOO

They reaally are not. Committee puts great emphasis on how you do outside your conference. Losing to a mid-major, good or not, always hurts. We still do have several opportunites to get some good wins, but wish we had Kansas for sunday.

He has a pretty damn good career 3pt shooting percentage.

106-270 for 39%

For comparison, Shack

161-458 35%
