Our mentality both times we’ve played Iona has been so weak. In the first half we played a completely different style of offense. Our identity completely changed (in both games). Rick Pitino is a great coach, but we are clearly putting way too much respect on him. Just play our freaking game. Ridiculous approach to both games against Iona.

JD got things going and he needs to start! JQ is not playing anywhere near the level he should be. Keon Ellis needs to be a scorer as well.

Still can't shoot FTs, killed us last year also.

Technical turned the game. Guess we can get over that we win when coach gets a Technical.

frick just wanted to enjoy after a good Thanksgiving with family.

Time to recalibrate expectations waaaaay down for this team. We have shite the bed hard against two mediocre mid-majors. The idiotic OOC schedule Oats made is going to have us hovering around .500 going into conference play.

We just got our shite pushed in by a mid-major team that shot 19% from 3. It’s going to be a long season.

This style just isn't built for being down under two minutes (or for overtime). We need to do a better job of building a lead before that happens.

Result is what I feared, but just one game. Conference play matters so much more

Only 17 3s.....we only attempted 16 against them last time...is it something Pitino does or are we just soft mentally against them?

Free throws were the difference but it shouldn't have come to that.

JD HAS to look for his shot. Just running around looking to pass the ball won't cut it, he has to become an offensive threat. If that happens this team can be very good.

13-25 FTs, don't even know how we can repeat that bullshite.

This. After the UCLA loss you would think they would actually care, but 4 out of 5 games shooting below 70% and a glorious 52% tonight.

Yep very poor free throw shooting just like the UCLA Sweet 16 game & one of the greatest of all time Rick Pitino building another winner out of a no name school did us in.

Except we didn't play that style that whole damn night. We let them dictate the style from the tip.

Oats still has trouble game-planning against really good coaches. Pitino's game plan was terrific. They made it really difficult for us to get into our offense all game.
Of course, our eternal Achilles heel FTs got us again.Shocking that JD is not a great FT shooter. Quinerly so far this year has been very poor on the line.Shack too,he was lights out as a Freshman.

Yep little worried with the extremely difficult teams coming up that the team gets really discouraged and we really don't b improve

Oats playing 4D chess. Don’t have to play Kansas, Gonzaga, Houston, and Memphis 4 games in a row if you don’t have to play Kansas

JQ is in a shooting slump. It was a poor effort all around although Gary looked like himself again.
We need Ellis to get shots up too
