I’ve been pretty pleased with Miles’ growth. He’s playing serious basketball this year, and he’s a talented guy offensively. For me, he’s been better than expected.
But he’s not very good on defense (regardless of that steal), and we’re playing a decent amount of guys that are not that good on defense.
I’m not sure that Gurley is very good on defense. JD looks lost a lot of the time, although with his athleticism the lightbulb could turn on quick. Bediako is up and down.
We need Gary back, and more reps for these young guys.

It wasn’t fun, but these types of games are good for the long haul. Lot to learn from and try to improve on.

Wasn't always pretty, quiet a few mistakes, but it's early in the season. Type game we lost many times in past years.

Friday will definitely be interesting to see what kind of intensity we come out with. You'd expect it to be high and be concerned if it wasn't.
Not to mention the fact that Oakland should have their complete attention after winning in Stillwater.

JQ and JD just didn’t have good games. Everyone else gave normal production. We just turned the ball over and played shite defense.

I kinda wish we left that one for football. Maybe pull it out for Auburn or LSU.

Yeah.
Related question: is Shack our 3rd best perimeter defender? Probably also yes (and one of the other two - Gary - is more like a big for us).
