Couple days late, but JD had another great performance to follow up his last one. Looked really comfortable initiating the offense, and pushing the break.

17/6/10, only 3 tov’s on 53/50 splits. Free throw% n/a.

NBA spacing already doing wonders for him, and the g-league will be a much better opportunity for him to acclimate to the NBA then another year of college would.

It's the Nate Oats system along with his work ethic that had him prepared to put those numbers up.

Blue Collar Basketball (Steals, Deflections, Blocks)
Transition Offense (Getting Downhill)
Pick-n-Pop
Pick-n-Roll

This is just the start shoot he still has a ways to go but I'm excited too see how good JD can be 2 or 3 years from now.

What do they make overseas playing bball? I googled it and it looks like 400,000 to 800,000 for most players, with some making in the millions. If he gets on a team and makes 400,000 for one year he didnt make a mistake. He shouldn't have but one year remaining for a degree at Alabama. Some of that might be possible with on line classes. Plus, if he ends up working, there is a good chance he will be a coach. A little professional bball wont hurt the resume.

In the A leagues, yeah. They pay way better than most jobs, but it's not NBA set for life money. But there's some small leagues that I don't have a clue what they pay. Hopefully it's better than minor league baseball.

Edit: Here's a link to an article about overseas salaries.

I'm not sure what leagues you're looking at, but that isn't what most overseas players make and certainly not those at the level Shackelford will be getting an opportunity at. Hell, just last year Releford accused his last professional team that he played for for not paying him what he was owed.

LINK

Based on this link the best country for pay is Spain where the average salary is $100,000.

It makes the case that most are making more like $50,000 and in some places it can be less but is offset by clubs offering room and board, etc.

That link shows that Shane Larkins is making millions, so it’s not out of the question to score big over there, but it’s not the norm.

While living in Manila they had a pro league with about 2 americans per team max. Most of the big corporations owned or sponsored the teams and they had large homes in gated communities where the Americans were allowed to stay. So it would seem that your overhead was nothing during your stay. Most of the seasons were not nearly as long as the NBA season.

Exactly! What about us? Lol

I hope it works out where our games will be televised as well either by the SEC Network or the ESPN Family.

At least stream them on rolltide.com. SEC Network really should film all its teams games. Even delay broadcast is better than nothing.

Seems like Dilione has become one of our biggest targets - maybe the biggest.

I like both of those guys!

Yes, they should stream it on something regardless.
