I was just coming here to talk about that dude. I've never seen someone so bent out of shape about Alabama having positive momentum in basketball than Puppets. That retard still stands by his statement that Oats is way in over his head here.
Most of my AU friends hate that we got Oats because he is maximizing Alabama's true potential as a program.

And the best part is - it barely effects Auburn. Sure they might lose a recruit every 2-3 years, but that's really it.
The only reason to be truly and completely ate up with Alabama being good at basketball is because personally you just cannot stand for it to happen.

They thought they were a basketball school. Oats showed up and said “yeah bold my beer”, and now they’re all triggered. They can’t even fall back to equestrian as they lost the title this year too. They’re grasping for ANYTHING they can right now so the mindless/thoughtless posts by a few of them don’t surprise me. They’ll be good this year, no shame in admitting that, they just don’t want to admit how deep we are and that us being ranked in the preseason (and probably all season) ahead of them is validated.

Who are you guys talking about? ?

I tell y’all what it’s gonna feel great to have 2 elite ball handlers next year. Having at least 1 of JD or JQ on the court at all times will be huge. It’s been a while

I need summer and offseason workouts/practices to begin. I need Alabama basketball news/practice footages/schedule news asap. I NEEEEEEEEED IT.

That's what I thought we desperately were missing last year. We talk about how we try and play five out but if you go back and look at those Buffalo teams it always felt like Oats had at least two legit ballhandlers on the court most of the time.

This is actually really interesting. Somehow, we rarely compete head to head against recruits. Occasionally there’s a battle when there’s an elite in state guy like JD, but for the most part Bruce sticks to GA and Nate is wearing it out up north.

Bruce Loves Atlanta kids. A lot of talent and it’s a quick drive to Auburn. I was wanting Avery to get more involved in the Atlanta area. Nate likes Midwest and Northeast mostly....and obviously Canada

Alabama just doesn't produce a ton of kids that are a) good enough for both programs to want and b) not so far in the tank for one or the other - usually Alabama - that both programs actually have a shot. Maybe like one every 5 years or so.

Yep - the state doesn't produce a ton of elite kids, and basketball is much more of a national (international) recruiting sport.
Alabama and Auburn just don't compete for kids very often.

How y’all feeling on Scoot? He is announcing Friday. If he stays in College and reclassifies he is 100% y’all’s. G-League sounds like the leader currntly

No clue. The paysites are hearing G-League and the Twitter insiders are hearing Auburn, both of which have zero connections so who knows. I’m betting G-League because I refuse to get my hopes up
