I like what ive seen so far from our guys, and they play with a similar level intensity and chemistry as the 2020 team thus far (a long ways to go but its the closest to a 2020 style team we’ve had in a minute)

The only concern I have with Michigan State is with them being so battle tested. I expect us to get punched in the mouth a few times, as well as punch them in the mouth a few times with our play. Michigan state is physical and a veteran team.

I’m a little nervous to see how our composure fluctuates in that game with this being easily the first high major test for these young guys.

Would love to come out and hit 20 three’s again, but our composure and discipline vs Michigan State might be the key to the game (as well as defense obviously)

We seem ready after last night, I am glad we had these few games to gel before going into the first tough stretch of the schedule.

One advantage we have over Michigan State is our depth, that have been playing 4 guys over 30 minutes a game. The only guy getting 30 minutes for is so far is Miller. Maybe we can make them play at our pace and use it to our advantage.

I think we are the more talented team but they’re more experienced and definitely more tested.

He had a big game a while back too that someone posted about. Reese got shat on a lot here, but I'd take him over Gurley all day every day.

Reese actually played pretty well his last year… only guy we had who would try to defend down low

Michigan State
Uconn or Oregon
TBD
South Dakota St
@Houston
Memphis
Gonzaga

Pretty crazy stretch.

We did. But Reese played a lot of the 5 spot and banged on defense after being a soft spot up/ no contact kind of guy his whole career I thought

I know absolutely nothing about the level of competition in that league, but Reese is going off for them this season. 23 ppg and shooting 39% from 3pt range.

Isn’t there a possible #1 North Carolina matchup in there?

That’s so awesome

This entire stretch all the way through the Kentucky and Arkansas games is going to show these young guys exactly where they need to be to challenge for the NCAA championship

What’s awesome is that besides Houston I feel we have a shot at all of them. Good feeling

We have a chance vs Houston. We can match them defensively

The first thing that comes to mind when playing Mich State is that this may be Oats’s dream job. I think he coaches his arse off to win this one…and we all have to hope it’s not an indirect audition for the job after Izzo goes.

(Of course they wouldn’t hire him based on one game, but I can’t help myself.)

I don't see it as his dream job if he has one. MSU hasn't shown to go all out for a coach like a UK would. Even UNC and Duke promoted from within.

MSU will be ranked when we play them so we gone see if this is an AAU offensive team.

What kills me is that people only think we shoot three's but they fail to notice our at the rim percentage.
