WE TOOK A COUPLE OF PUNCHES THROUGHOUT THE GAME AND THEN WE COUNTERED PUNCH BACK.
THIS TEAM IS SPECIAL GUYS!!
JB, Rylan, Sears, Burnett, Bediako, Clowney, Pringle, and Himothy Miller all came with that different type of ENERGY today.

To go there and win with your best player off his game is so impressive. To do that with freshmen leading the charge and never flinching is just ridiculous

Griffen being asked to man up Green the last five minutes or so was interesting.
Like 2021, we have a lot of guys that can defend and a lot of options for locking up opposing guards/wings.
The real outlier is last year. Sears would have been the second best perimeter defender on that team.

I thought that was interesting too
Green cooked Griffen for an open three the first time he went man on him
After that he blocked his three and Green did not score another point in the game outside of the layup as time expired and a rebounding foul on sears.
Griffen shut him down the last few minutes

Definitely a small step back for JQ today. Nothing major, just a little glimpse of the old hero ball. Coach handled it right, I think he’ll be fine.
There are games coming up where we’re going to need him to play like he’s been playing the last few weeks.
