Bruce has an interesting new recruiting pitch

"You get an opportunity to play maybe the best team in the country on your home floor, how many teams get that opportunity? Not many, that's why you come to a place like Auburn"

I’m hoping JQ doesn’t get too hyped up either, he’s been playing great recently and don’t want to see his performance slip.

I think Miller (absolute matchup problem for Auburn) and Sears (vet going against vulnerable defensive backcourt) have big games tomorrow.

As much fun as it is to hate on Bruce, I can respect any Auburn person who says something that treads this closely to "we are little bro." You don't see it very often. They all know it's true and overcompensate to avoid admitting it.

I actually kind of like Bruce, he's always been pretty complimentary of our players and teams.

I like him ALOT more than that bitch boy Musselman who whines and wont even shake the other coaches hand half the time when Arkansas loses.

Oh yeah, I think Bruce can be a clown and he's a total used car salesman, but I generally respect him as a coach. He's fun to hate on because he's a fat, sweaty clown. Muss is a good coach but he acts like a spoiled, pissed off 15 year old girl when things don't go his way. He's like Bob Knight in a pre-pubescent boy's body.

I need JQ hyped/over hyped especially if we don't match their INTENSITY from the jump so with him coming off the bench I need for him to bring that New Jersey/Philly type game to Auburn tomorrow. JQ has never been scared to compete so if he gets a TECH then I have no problem with it because he's setting the tone early for our team.

I know it's sacrilege with him at Auburn and having been at Tennessee, but I really like Pearl. He's got great energy and like you say, he's always complimentary towards Alabama.

He's also done a fantastic job at Auburn. People don't appreciate the absolute shaitshow he took over at Auburn. When he got there, they'd had one winning conference record and 3 postseason of any kind ( 1 NCAA) in the last 15 years - and that was a period when the SEC was VERY down.

Why should it be any different? We are better.

Byrne said in an interview he did today that they did get a donation today or last night. Don’t think he specified if it was big or not

It was me. I have him $50 and some Foosackly's coupons.

However, the fact that they continue to talk about it in specifics makes it clear to me that they want and expect to get it done eventually. Will it be in the next 6-12 months? I dunno, but I do think this is absolutely moving more forward every day. I just think it's very hard right now (regardless of whether I think that's a lame excuse).

The fact that this team is on such a tear has definitely forced the momentum to get it done.
