Let's be honest, we will struggle against teams like that. MSU just didn't have shooters. Oklahoma does.

The officials let them play and they adjusted to the way the game was being called. They set very physical screens and rolled off them. They were allowed to push the defense off with the free arm. No matter how much contact there was, we should not have hit the floor because they let play continue.

You have to match physicality with it and right now we play soft. If we do not step it up we won't win anything,

You're right. Our weakness is against teams that play a physical brand of basketball.
Baylor won it all last year with this style of play.

Correction. Baylor won it in 2021 with that style of play.

Big east used to play that way. I very seldom watch any of their games since so many of the SEC games are on TV

Hasn't ou struggled to shoot for a while though? I get these guys are in college so most of them have the ability to get hot at any time. But seems like an extreme outlier shooting performance from them.

Most of their shots were either wide open or uncontested at the rim. It was basically a shoot around with our guys begging for calls falling down instead of playing hard.

You've forgotten about the late season slide last year ending with an embarrassing beatdown by Notre Dame. In case you've forgotten, Notre Dame was an average squad had to eke out a play in game win to get in the field. They humiliated Bama in that game much like OU did last Saturday.

Well, think I made a good decision to stay off the board after that game yesterday, hopefully most of the hot takes are out of our system now.

Looking forward to a new week of basketball.

There are way too many Debbie Downers here. The team had 2 loses already we weren’t going to win out the rest of the season. My prediction is we lose two more during the regular season. Auburn and Tennessee on the road. Even if that happens we could still lock up a one seed by winning the sec tournament.

Yes you did. It was awful I’m this thread right after the game.

If we go 26-5 with what would likely be anywhere from 9-12 Q1 wins we won't need to win the conference tournament to secure a 1 seed. We'd easily have one of the 4 best resumes in the country.

If someone would've told me we would've gone 3-1 over the @Van @ Mizzu, MSU @ OU stretch we would've all taken it....at the start of the year and last week.

Very likely. A 2 seed is also possible and not a bad option.

Still think 7-3 to end the season wins the conference out right. Need to win these next 3, huge (Van, @ LSU, Fla).

I’d be shocked to see us lose an SEC game at home this season. @LSU could be tough but Oats hates those guys. I expect him to have the guys ready.
