Didn't get to check in last night because my non-basketball-fan dad was visiting. But, I really like this team. I think y'all have probably covered all my thoughts, but I will say I'm pleasantly surprised by how good Sears is. I expected him to be solid in that, small guy who didn't get recruited, went to a smaller school, did well, and came home way. But, he has legit SEC starting PG talent.

Is he a pretty good shooter? I know he’s long so should be a good defender.

He’s a shooter and a veteran. When we go into hostile environments or shite hits the fan, you hope guys like Welch and Gurley are who can settle our young guys down.

Seems like we've got some grit on this team. It's nice to have some junkyard dogs you can put in the game. Last year's team had such a bad attitude usually. Clowney, Gurley, Chuck, and Pringle is a really nice stable of front court players. Those big guys need breathers and we shouldn't have much drop off no matter who is in there.

Ecstatic with what I've seen from the roster so far. This is the highest ceiling Alabama team I can remember in the last 30 years.

They've got stuff to figure out but they've got incredible length, athleticism, composure and play really damn hard. And we have 11-12 guys.

Yes I’m really impressed with the defense. Our rebounding will definitely help against teams like the Zags. The only thing we’re missing is a sharpshooter ala Josh Primo, but I think we have enough scorers around to alleviate that absence.

Sears looks like the real deal and may solve so many problems that we had last year with Davidson. Very excited about this season.

I was really impressed with how the team looked this week. Those are 2 solid NCAAT teams that we just beat.

This team is long and athletic and looks to be able to score multiple ways, but damn do they play defense too. Its hard for me to pick a weak link on the defensive end

Most definitely. He’s definitely an upgrade over Davidson already. I love the way he rebounds as a guard.

1000% Don’t let Joka see this tho. He doesn’t appreciate people talking about his family.

I see you mistaken...

I've always liked Mark Sears even when him and JD played AAU together. I think this team has better pieces than last seasons team by a long shot.

Mark Sears has always been good and like I said before the only reason he wasn't in the SEC or any other power 5 program was simply because of his HEIGHT.

Sears reminds me a bit of Releford. He's not big but he plays with a bulldog mentality.

That's a good comparison.

Releford was just so freaking crafty around the basket.
