Tough weekend for the SEC. Auburn, Kentucky, and Tennessee go 0-3 against the PAC 12

Auburn is in trouble. Especially if they lose to Washington.

Their NET is 57 with 0 Q1 wins. If they don’t win 12 SEC games they are NIT bound. And it would be deserved because they scheduled scared

Need them to stay in the top 75 to keep our home game a Q2 and the road game Q1. Although if they fall to sub 100, I certainly won’t cry over it.

I was at the game Saturday and missed the fireworks here.

What was the general sentiment on the board when he tried to pass that ball through the defender's legs?

I was at the game. That was my first time at Legacy arena. I thought it was a fantastic venue and Bham did a great job in their renovations. I know people (on other sites) want to compare it to New Orleans and other city arenas that have pro basketball but I don't think Bham will ever have a pro basketball team so I think it looks great for what it attracts. The crowd I thought did a great job in getting involved and was pretty loud at times, but you could tell everytime we made a run and Gonzaga was shooting lights out that it deflated the excitement.

This is an exciting brand of basketball and I hate that they don't play in Huntsville anymore but understandable considering the arena size is half the size of Birmingham. Maybe one day we will break the Birmingham curse

Haha…my head drops a bit worse for Miles. JQ has about a 40-50% chance of his good outweighing his bad (unless playing elite defenses…in which case he shouldn’t see the floor at all). Miles is more like 25% these days.

I’d rather play the guys that have proven they are going to be effective more often than not (everyone has a bad game or off night…unfortunately Sears had his against Gonzaga). I know Q is coming off an injury, but last year wasn’t a good year for him prior to injury and the longer this goes, the more 2020-2021 looks like a fluke and last year & this year look like good teams have him figured out. When he passed up the open 3 in the AU game and drove into the trees, we all knew he was broken. I hope he gets back to 2 yrs ago play, but it’s not worth risking a close game IMO.

That said, keep working hard Q and try to figure out how to be ready to shoot coming off the bench, take care of the ball, get tougher, and increase your blue collar points. It was good to see the hustle for on ball defense against Gonzaga…there was one possession that the Gonzaga guard looked like he was about to have a panic attack. Never thought I’d say that about someone facing Q’s defense.

Im a huge JQ fan too, he actually quote tweeted me on twitter when i was taking up for him after the Houston game.

I cant really blame him for being rusty or a step slow coming off an injury, its on Oats to pick better situations to play him in imo.

Its a tricky situation and I think JQ will be back to his old self here in about a month or so. We kind of have to play him a good bit right now with Burnett and Welch out.

I hate that Arkansas gets rewarded for their weak arse OOC schedule every year. Here we are playing one of the toughest schedules in the country and are ranked 9th with wins over Houston, Michigan State, North Carolina, Memphis.

Arkansas over there ranked 10th playing teams like Bradley and UNC Greensboro every game and their best win being San Diego State, they also lost on a neutral court vs #31 Creighton.

You really have to be a JQ fan , the guy has gone through so much in his career and his commitment to our team has never wavered. He tries to do his best but keeps getting knocked down by injuries or the system.
NCAA ruling was criminal.
Hope he gets back to normal this year and has a great season.

Oh shite. That would dramatically alter their prospects for this season with Brazile also done. Is he hurt or did a "family advisor" get in his ear about protecting his draft stock?
