lol - this is basically what YOU did to start this pissing contest. Big Bird only posted his "opinion" on the game and you took issue with it.

I can’t wait to watch this team. Praying I’m able to finish work early enough to be able to watch live.

I didn't get bothered by it. I said I disagreed, gave my reasons why, and moved on. That was Sunday morning. It's now Tuesday. Get over it.

Lunardi having us as a 1-seed in Birmingham is the strongest rat poison I've seen in a while

@AlabamaMBB’s home game against Auburn has officially sold out. It becomes Alabama’s 4th sell-out of the season (Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Gonzaga).

I agree with your analogy. Being a basketball school, could just be a reference to our team compared to other top basketball programs. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a shot at the football program.

Do these exist? I mean there are some that follow basketball intimately, but they're still aware of the football team and its existence, etc.
There may be a few, but nothing like FOGs. There are a fair number of us basketball first gumps, or BFGs, however.

Let's beat some Tigers

I sarcastically call us a basketball school all the time on places like Twitter but it's just to spread awareness that hey Alabama is competitive in more than just one sport. I really hope they keep the ball rolling tonight, Oats and his guys deserve a lot of praise for turning this program around.

This might be the toughest game to get mentally prepared for this season. A home game against a sneaky good Memphis team coming off the high of beating the most physical team in America on the road, and ahead of a marquee weekend matchup with powerhouse Gonzaga.

Hopefully the memory of Memphis beating our arse last year as well as taking down Auburn on Saturday is enough for us to maintain an edge.

I'd be shocked if we don't come out ready to play. We might not play well, but I don't think we'll be looking past this. Too many obvious parallels to last season in general and the Memphis game specifically to let it be overlooked in any capacity. And their win Saturday helps, too.

Last year was a road game against a dumpster fire (but very talented) Memphis team coming off 2 of the biggest wins in the past 10 years. On top of that, it was a terrible matchup for us.

This year is a home game with most of the same parameters as last year, except Memphis just beat Auburn soundly and has everyone's attention (and the physical matchup isn't in their favor).

I mean, it obviously wasn't. It's weird that some people took it that way imo.

Based on nate's and the players' comments, I agree. They're focused on this game.

It's not weird, it's normal. Look at mbgo and RollTide1987. There are lots of those people who not only don't care about anything else but are almost offended that anything other than football exists in Tuscaloosa - including academics.

Alabama is a NFL team to them and nothing else.

Yea as easy as it is to say that this is a trap game, it’s just as easy to argue that the players are fired up for practice and prep. We may lose, but hopefully it’s because we’re facing a good squad

I honestly think Saturday with Gonzaga has a bigger chance for us to show up groggy than tonight. Their shine is gone, early tip, game is in Birmingham, we're gonna be coming off of 2 physical wars, etc.

If Alabama can equal their intensity of last Saturday, and with the deep roster we've got, I don't see any huge letdowns. Hell, we didn't shoot well Saturday, but we overcame that with effort!

Insane month of games for us

@ #5 Houston
vs #26 Memphis
vs #15 Gonzaga
@ #17 Mississippi State
vs #13 Kentucky
@ #10 Arkansas

We play 20% of the Top 25 in a 8 game stretch.

This after already playing #3 UConn, Michigan St and UNC.
