It's almost halftime and Troy is beating Arkansas, despite arky having a 10-1 free throw advantage. If not for that they'd be losing by about 10.

Nick Smith Jr made his debut though! (has 0 points in the first half)

Also Barry Dunning Jr made his first start tonight and the only stat he recorded in the first half was 1 turnover, hate that we missed on him.

UNC dropped in the AP Poll from #1 to #18

Whereas this is one of the biggest drops in one week for a former #1, coupled with UNC hasn't looked too dominant all season, it's not like UNC lost to a team like Chaminade, either.

I wouldn’t think we’d hear anything until Oats has his SDSU press conference which I imagine will be Friday.

Alabama Basketball Surges to No. 11 in Latest AP Top 25, No. 14 in Coaches Poll

After a big Thanksgiving weekend at the Phil Knight Invitational, the Crimson Tide is now tied with the Arkansas Razorbacks as the highest-ranked team in the SEC.

Basketball and football watching is so different.
Alabama football, and even other good football teams, win at a 75% rate or better (9-3 average), many games are over by halftime.
Meanwhile, in basketball winning at 75% is very, very good, especially in conference. Doesn't happen consistently, IMO. Further, most any game can go from a "comfortable" 15 point lead to a nail biting 5 point lead in a matter of a few possessions.

Just look at your game with Troy. Back and forth til the last 5 minutes. Then, boom, blowout.

We'll be playing Oklahoma every year soon enough, sometimes 2 to 3 times a year.

He needs to be passing more,

JQ had 8 assists against UNC. And though he missed 3 potential game winners, he made clutch floaters and lay ups after beating his defenders- which he can do better than anyone else on the team.

He also took a ton of awful shots and turned the ball over. Shot selection has always been an issue with him in crunch time. If it's there take it. If it's not, don't force it.

I know, it was a joke on how we always match up with Oklahoma in the Big 12/SEC challenge or just play them in head to head home and aways in general

Hey guys Saturday will be our first time attending an Alabama basketball game. I’ll be bringing my daughter and my in laws also. Are there any kid friendly pre game activities for children at Coleman?

I haven’t seen anything so far this season but if they have anything for that game it will likely be in the preview write up that will be posted on RollTide.com. If I see something, I’ll be sure to post it here.

There’s a big Bama Christmas tree in the front lobby with an elephant head topper that makes for a good family photo op.

Alabama Basketball is Learning from Both its Successes and Shortcomings (SI)

With a 6-1 record at the midway point of its non-conference schedule, the Crimson Tide has been taking notes from both its wins and its loss to UConn to improve its game.

Other than that and maybe finding Big Al on the concourse for a picture, there’s not too many things geared for little kid entertainment during basketball.
