BBP. I will certainly take your words into consideration. The last thing I intended to do was be heavy handed.

Checking in from a gas station near the TN/KY state line. What a beautiful day to take some Aztecs to the woodshed. Safe travels and Roll Tide to all my fellow Bama fans making the trek. This weekend should be a great time.

Draft kings being pimped on many NFL commercials is quite frankly sad.
They'll ban players for betting, yet encourage fans to bet.
Gambling addiction is real.

thank god we've gotten that cleared up.
Now back to basketball.

Hell they are embedding ads in other programming (i.e not just during the commercial breaks, but actually during the main broadcast). I hate it.

I've been there and done that, too!...in a big way! The advertising and enticements are sinister, and shameful. A gambling addiction can be every bit as bad as an alcohol addiction.
I can just see it coming!

CoachCrisp,
Really sorry to hear that you have had to go through the ravages of gambling issues. I pray things are going much better for you now and that you and your family are getting the pieces put back together.
I bet, I think $20 on a "sure thing" once in college. Ended up a push. But the game was the most miserable experience.

What in the Bible Belt is going on in this thread when we are playing for our second ever Elite 8 berth in a few hours?

Let's go! Kawhi Leonard and Tony Gwynn aren't walking through that door!

LtL, I know you mean well, but that one also came off as patronizing and as if you are looking down on sinful people from a mountain (Like Moses coming down looking at the Israelites).
It just sounds really out of touch and even somewhat arrogant, vs. what I know you are trying to portray…the fruits of the Spirit…which include gentleness, love, patience, etc.
I fail miserably in my human attempts to follow Jesus everyday, but we want to come off as humble and kind, rather than patronizing and preaching.

How deep does the bench get in a game like tonight? Who needs to have the biggest impact in relief time?
Posted on 3/24/23 at 10:52 am to BamaBravesPackers
Now back to basketball…as long as SDSU doesn’t shoot way above their average tonight, I think we got this in the bag!
I am a bit nervous about distractions with 2 of our coaches having just accepted new jobs, but hoping they can stay focused on the task at hand.

The entire bench needs to be good this evening.

We can win. We can lose. All depends on preparation, effort, toughness, discipline, and awareness
and for goodness sake please no lazy passes that lead to easy turnovers!

Ideally it doesn’t have to get very deep if the team stays out of foul trouble. Bradley will need to provide some minutes giving JQ some rest. He just needs to protect the ball and play good defense at minimum. Ideally Griffin or Gurley or Burnett or whoever will come off the bench and knock down a couple 3s. If Bediako gets in foul trouble Pringle will have to give us much better minutes than he did against Maryland, so he might potentially be the most important guy in that scenario, but again ideally that scenario doesn’t come to pass. Really we’ve had almost a week off and have at most four games left, we aren’t going to be too concerned about monitoring minutes IMO. They’ll ride the best/hottest players as much as possible. Don’t think they’ll hesitate to play Miller and JQ for 35 minutes for example if they’re playing well.
