Any info floating around about what time our tip might be?

really like the Miller post up wrinkle we have started to throw out there
Yeah or we let him bring the ball up with the same idea. He's truly the best and most complete player we've ever had and I don't think it's really close.

On a side note. There were 8 Big 10 teams selected for the tournament. It's the 1st weekend and only 2 left in Indiana and Michigan State. Indiana plays Miami tonight. Michigan State plays Marquette this afternoon
The Big 10 has been arse in the tournament for a few years now.

With Princeton and SDSU in our region I would bet we’ll be the TBS games and the other region playing Friday will be on CBS. The TBS games are scheduled for 5:15 and 7:45 central.

Yep. The B1G has been the most overrated basketball conference in the country for years and it's not even remotely close. They just don't play a style of ball that wins in tournaments, nor do most of their teams have the kind of up and down athleticism to hang with truly elite rosters. Basically the same deal as football.

I’ll take it. Roll Tide.

Great point. But they did manage to feature Houston’s close brush with elimination in their game with Auburn

One of the big takeaways lately for me is teams aren’t hurting us defensively for playing a lot of Sears-Quinnerly.
It helps to have a Miller - Clowney - Bediako wall behind them, but both of those guys really competed defensively.
Yeah, commentators keep making a great point about Oats keeping Bediako (or Clowney or Pringle when Bediako is out) deeper and letting JQ and Sears overplay the perimeter without a primary focus on preventing penetration.
Both JQ and Sears have been giving a ton of effort just hounding guards and keeping them from getting comfortable. Definitely plays to their strengths.

Time is still TBD, but we are playing on Friday and are -7.

Oats making us competitive with a historically elite blue blood like Auburn so quickly has been really impressive.

So Tennessee gets either Fairleigh Dickinson or FAU in the sweet 16? I hate them so much.

Think Kiffin tweets something if FAU beats the Vols?

So a question for you guys with a much better basketball IQ than me, cause I really have none.
We seemed to hardly get any open threes from kicking it out last night. Was that just due to Maryland playing outside on the perimeter on our shooters which opened up the game more for drives and the inside game?
I guess that's the way it seemed to me. They didn't collapse their D on the drives hoping Reese would win those battles. Which ultimately got him in foul trouble quick.

I would love to see us get a CBS game sometime in the Sweet 16

That will be difficult with our length. They don't have anybody who can matchup well with Miller, let alone two or three guys who can switch on him.
My thought exactly. Get him switched onto someone he mismatches and start attacking the rim.

FDU-FAU should be a good one IMO, two offensive teams slinging the rock is what I like
I have a feeling Michigan State is going to upset Marquette, Shaka is going to falter...somehow
Baylor over Creighton
Zaga over TCU

I think Creighton upsets Baylor. In fact, I think they make the regional finals.

FAU will give them all they can handle.

Yes. Their gameplan was to help as little as possible and clog kick out lanes to prevent us from raining 3s on them, but it let us wreck them on the offensive glass. It got them a handful of steals and forced us into longer possessions than we'd have liked, but between JQ, Miller, and our bigs we're going to get a bunch of shots at the rim if you defend us that way.
