Got a last minute offer to go and oh what a night! As disappointed as I was in the Thursday crowd, couldn’t have been happier with last night’s crowd. Electric atmosphere!

Here are all the SI write ups

Tonight @AlabamaMBB shot 39.7% from the field and 28.6% from three. They still won by 22.

That's the largest win in NCAA Tournament history by a team that shot under 40.0% overall and under 30.0% on threes.

This is a pretty cool stat. Considering this wasn't a first round game, it proves that we're one of the least 3-pt reliant teams of all time despite the narrative.

Thanks for letting us know. Looking on the home page of the ESPN NCAA men’s basketball website right now, there is only the link to the Box score for the Bama game. Unless you count the video labeled Maryland that has their player blocking a shot.

Did we lose the overall No. 1 seeding overnight? Can’t remember coverage for the team ranked #1 being so overtly omitted in the past.

One of the big takeaways lately for me is teams aren’t hurting us defensively for playing a lot of Sears-Quinnerly.

It helps to have a Miller - Clowney - Bediako wall behind them, but both of those guys really competed defensively.

We should keep doing this and just plow through the tournament like that 2018 Villanova hate machine.

Wake up, Troy. Bama is a the article on the front page of ESPN.Though not as prominently mentioned as Houston, Bama is still in the feature asking if the Final Four will have no #1 seeds.

No need to publicize the Bama win by ESPN.

If you’re a one seed and see your name as the lead of a national publication/website on the first weekend, it’s because you lost.

SDSU seems to have physicality and length. This could be our toughest match up. Thoughts?

They are not physical like some of these prison-ball teams we have played. But they are tough. I don't think they have the length to keep up with what we bring. Last game they startd a 6'7 guy and a 6'10 guy along with 3 small guards. That won't work well against Chuck, Clowney, and Miller. They have another guard who is about 6'6. But they don't have length like we do.

It's regional weekend, the opponents are quality opponents.

I don't think SDSU mismatches Alabama but they do some things defensively that could disrupt the halfcourt offense if not appropriately prepared.

Oats said they switch everything. That may make it more difficult to get off 3pt shots off screens but it presents some opportunities for dribble drives with the right matchups.

They’ve got a fairly impressive resume. Only losses were to tourney or bubble teams.

On a side note.
There were 8 Big 10 teams selected for the tournament.
It's the 1st weekend and only 2 left in Indiana and Michigan State.
Indiana plays Miami tonight.
Michigan State plays Marquette this afternoon.
Media's hating this. As they love the Big 10.

That will be difficult with our length. They don't have anybody who can matchup well with Miller, let alone two or three guys who can switch on him.

I really like the Miller post up wrinkle we have started to throw out there when he gets a smaller defender on him. They either don't bring the double and let him go to work or they bring the double and he's a good enough passer to get us an open look.
