A&M?

Tennessee is on there twice, so I'd assume the +280 is A&M.

Did Nick Smith coming back actually hurt Arkansas? I figured they’d end the season on a tear.

Did y’all see Dianne Woods buzzer beater to send the game to OT?

As a Tech alum that game was a roller coaster like the UCLA game from a couple years ago.

The foul call to give SEMO 3 free throws before the buzzer beater was trash.

Pretty excited about the postseason. Everyone is healthy. We are deep. Getting a few days off to get our legs back. And most importantly, we are in the tourney with nothing needed.

some big games today:
#1 Houston @ Memphis (11/CBS)
Big South Final: Campbell vs UNC-Asheville (noon/ESPN2)
MVC Final: Drake vs Bradley (1pm/CBSSN)
ASUN Final: Liberty vs Kennesaw St (2/ESPN2)
Michigan @ #15 Indiana (3:30/CBS)

That's less shocking than UT being the 2nd favorite as a 5th seed after losing Zeigler.

I'm not sure what to think about this bunch right now. On one hand, we went 2-1 with a close last minute road loss to 3 NCAA tournament teams while shooting less than 20% from 3.

On the other hand, we've clearly not been the same team since the Miller news. At all.

So, glass half full, we're just missing all of our shots, and if we make 3-4 more a game we're a force again. Glass half empty, we're mentally lost and a few days off isn't going to change that.

Just gonna have to hope it's #1 I guess.

I’ve convinced myself that the last 4 games “are what they needed”

0-3 at this point pending A&M

I mean I watched the game back…….we missed at least 10 WIDE open 3s. Probably another 5-8 that weren’t wide open but we’re good looks.

Our shots have to start falling eventually, right? Look at yesterdays stat sheet. We won every statistical category except FTs

Well said and I agree with both points. We haven't been the same the last 2 weeks or so. But at the same time we missed a lot of WIDE open 3s yesterday and seemed like a lot of them were just coming up short.

I'm going to be optimistic and say that a few days off will help this team.

There’s no way it hasn’t weighed on them, but at the same time it’s the end of the season so being both physically and mentally tired isn’t unexpected, particularly when you’ve been the team to beat all year.

They’re only playing like crap relative to how they’re capable of playing. As you said, they just closed against 3 highly motivated, well coached tourney teams and beat 2. If they play like crap in the SEC tourney, it’s time to worry but IMO we just aren’t there yet.

At the end of the day..

We outscored them by 11 from the field.

They outscored us by 17 from the free throw line.

Hard to beat anyone with that kind of difference.

I really don't buy that. It's been a long, hard season, and not only has this team been playing with a bullseye on its backs, but because of the stupidity of a teammate (Miles), they've had to endure all that, too!
There's NO WAY that a couple of days totally AWAY from the gym/basketball will NOT be a tremendous help...in a number of ways!

Several times down court, A&M simply back up and clogged the paint, allowing us decent the 3-point shots which we missed.
I'll say this again:
Mental and physical (dead-legs) fatigue will affect ones shooting more than anything, and it's often not recognizable.

I’d rather a team try to push us off the 3 pt line and take that aspect away. We’ll score in the paint all game. If a team defends us the way A&M did we have to make them pay.

Good news is our defense and rebounding will keep us in any game...especially if we’re actually taking care of the ball.

Losing to A&M again is what frustrated me more than anything. The loss in itself is really meaningless.

March Madness is its own entity. It’s a new season. There have been red hot teams that go out early and teams playing poorly make the Final Four. All about your draw and matchup...most likely being a 1 seed I think we should like our draw. Just depends on that 8/9 matchup. We’re longer and more talented than most teams out there.

Finished the reg season 26-5 16-2 SEC champs. Now it’s time to turn the page.

I’m sure this has been mentioned, but not bad to go ahead and get our one loss for the month out of the way. Lost one in November, December, January, February and now March.

Looking forward to winning a few more.

CBS announcer: “Btw Texas A&M beat Alabama and Memphis beat Texas A&M”...

My guy Alabama actually played Memphis too and beat them straight up.
