My high school coach incorporated the same sag off approach on “non 3” shooters and it never worked. It gives them a practice shot, you’ve got to close out and contest regardless their % on the season. And even worse it gives them confidence

Yeah, I change it up for a possession or two to get them “off their spot,” but you come back to it and hope the law of averages takes over.
