Sears is probably getting worn down. He gets hammered by picks, hammered on drives to the basket, runs more than anyone on the team, then we have 2 guards out for a couple of games. Wimp used to cut way back on physical practices late in the season. He wanted them to have their legs during the games so they would just do walk throughs and let them shoot in practices late in the season.

The SEC didn’t suspend Flanigan. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Not enough threads were started in the rant; therefore, not enough warranted outrage to suspend.

Goes to show you that they just had it out for ALABAMA!
It was warranted...Wague's suspension but Flanigan's elbow to the guy's face was way way worse.

Supposedly justified by the fact his was called during the game and he was ejected. Even though Wague didn’t play anymore, his wasn’t called during the game and he wasn’t ejected so he was suspended. It is complete BS - but that supposedly is the rationale between the difference in penalties.

So Wague suspended 60 minutes but Flanagan only 15 minutes for a more blatant and violent foul? This is Orwellian logic like 1984 or Animal Farm. Some fouls are worse but not as bad? All teams are equal “but some are more equal than others” (Animal Farm).

What Flanigan did deserved like a multiple game suspension.
The dude literally tried to knock that player out with a flying elbow to the face.

I thought the same. Flanagan's elbow bordered on pre meditated assault. He clearly runs all the way down the court with one thing in mind and then just unloads a brutal cheap shot.
Wague, while clearly foolish and deserving of suspension, was in the middle of an actual play.

The most important game of the entire year is tomorrow night. We must win this one. Huge.
With that being said and looking forward to Saturday, how many times do you think we've played a conference home game in March that was as important as Saturday in possibly winning the SEC against the team we are competing against?
Last year, we had already won it when we played Aggie who was right behind us and that was on the road.
Obviously, Fla in 2002 was big but that was late Feb with 2 games remaining (I remembered that as the last game of the year, weird).
In Feb of 76, we played Tenn in late Feb and won, 93-90. There was 3 games left for Ala after this game just like now, 2 for Tenn (who won both, Ala went 2-1 to win the league by 1).
We played Ken in '75 with 3 games remaining and lost and then both teams went 2-1 in the last 3 and they tied us for the conference, lost to Aub last day of the regular season.
What I'm getting at is this, is Sat the biggest home game in the history of Alabama basketball?

Alabama basketball guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. is still being re-evaluated every day as he deals with a head injury, Crimson Tide coach Nate Oats said Tuesday.
"He's still not 100% going to play tomorrow," Oats said.
Wrightsell has missed the past two games, one a win in overtime over Florida and the other a loss to Kentucky on the road. His presence likely wouldn't have made up for the 117 points given up to Kentucky, but he certainly could have helped.
"It would be nice to have him back sooner rather than later but you also don't want to rush him," Oats said. "These things can go on and on if you don't handle it correctly or in right manor. We're going to do it the right way and not rush him back but looking forward to getting him back as soon as we can."
