Impressed with Rylan Griffen’s growth as a player. Making better decisions as a playmaker and is picking his spots better to take the 3 ball. Percentages go up when you understand when and where to take your shots. A quality player on both sides on the ball.

Nate Oats Picks Up 200th Career Win Behind Rylan Griffen’s Career-High 21 Points
The Crimson Tide improve to 4-0 in conference play for the third time in the Oats era
The Alabama men's basketball team improved to 4-0 in Southeastern Conference play behind Rylan Griffen's career-high 21 points, defeating Missouri 93-75 Tuesday night at Coleman Coliseum. With the win, the Crimson Tide maintains at least a share for first place in conference play heading into Saturday's matchup at No. 6/6 Tennessee.
With eight minutes left of regulation, Alabama led by four points, 59-55, and Griffen caught fire, cashing in on four straight three-pointers to give UA a 10-point lead. SThe Tide would extend its lead to as many as 20 points, before settling for an 18-point win.
Alabama (12-5, 4-0 SEC) had five players finish with double-figures as Aaron Estrada matched Griffen with 21 points, while Grant Nelson (13), Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (11) and Nick Pringle (10) each contributed offensively. Estrada and Nelson also collected a game-high eight rebounds each, with leading scorer Mark Sears adding nine points and six assists.
The Tigers (8-9, 0-4 SEC) had four players finish in double-figures, led by Tamar Bates with 19 points.

"Missouri gave us everything we could handle. I thought the way they closed the first half was great on their part and it wasn't very good on our part. We had too many turnovers and we couldn't guard. We've had issues with our starts to games and I didn't think our start was great tonight. But I did think the one issue that we've had major problems with this year is how we play at the under 12 and under eight (media timeouts) of the second half. We were significantly better tonight. We've had issues, we've had leads in four of our five losses, leads of six points or more in the second half. So, I thought we did a good job of closing this thing.
"I also would like to say that, considering the bad weather out there tonight, our home crowd was unbelievable. So, I want to thank the students publicly. I think we had almost 3,000 students in here. We needed them and they got loud when we needed it. For a time when everybody could have had an excuse to stay in with the weather, they chose to come out and support us and that means a lot to us. It means a lot to our players and it means a lot to our program so I want to make sure I thank them."

So is DeBoer. Byrne is a great AD. He’s already got the next coaches lined up in his mind, though Oats was an Izzo recommendation.

Currently @AlabamaMBB is at a near historical level for free-throw shooting. 1986-87 is the best free-throwing shooting team in school history at .787 (521 of 662). This year’s team is currently .786 (313 of 398).

Odds Nate is suspended for the UT game Saturday? Was reading it was a possibility on RBR.

Good FT shooting is such a relief.
Saves and wins so many games during crunch times.
Historically we have generally been bad at it.

Wut? For getting the guy who just instigated some shite to go back to his bench when the refs obviously weren't going to do it?

How is it that we are top ten in kenpom and NET, but not even cracking the top 25?

FACTS!
Everybody hates Alabama and they hate Nate Oats anyway. He shouldn't be fined or suspended despite what they say.

Who is our best win? I feel like it probably is miss state at this point. Obviously our next 2 games give us an opportunity to change that vs a couple poll teams, and that should bump us up from out of 28/29 receiving votes positions.

If that incident had occurred anywhere but where it did there may be more to the story but the Missouri played literally walked to our huddle or where it happens to confront someone. And nobody got pushed or shoved.
End of story.
End of story.

Poll inertia. When you lose matters a lot. For example, we have the same record as Marquette with generally better metrics and a similar overall resumé, but because they went on a skid to start conference play they aren't punished for it as much in the polls as we were in OOC play because they established themselves as a good team in November/December while we were losing 5 games. Basically the polls decide who is good and who isn't the first like 6 weeks of the season and it takes a lot to move them off of it.

Indiana State maybe if you look at the NET. I think they and Oregon give us the two Quad 1 wins. Miss State on the road should have been Quad 1 (top 50 road win). Don't know why not. Next two games, Tenn and Auburn are Quad 1.

State is a Quad 1 win. Top 75 Road.
Oregon is barely a Q2 right now

It was an innocent move by Oats trying to break up a scuffle. If you wanted to give it a Tech in the game I would understand but all this suspension talk is just insane butthurt bullshite
