The loser of Ark/Aggie Tuesday night is not going to be feeling very good about things. The UGa/SCar winner will be 3-1. That'll be a surprise for most.

Have Nelson’s 3 pointers started having exponentially more arc since the beginning of the season? I just feel like everything about his shot looks different now

Pringle had 5 fouls in 6 minutes and no points. He is no better than last year and I can not understand why he started and not a roll player. Nelson easily took up his slack on the D side.

Pringle plays hard and does the dirty work down low. Oats likes it. Wague wasnt 100% last night.

Nelson played really good on D last night. That game could be a big confidence booster for him. His shot will start falling but he showed that he can bang down low with some strong mofos.

Griffen seems like he thrives in SEC play. His length gives smaller guards a lot of trouble on the defensive end. His shot looks improved this year too.

His overall scoring bag looks a lot better this year. He's shooting better and his drives are more under control.

I’m really impressed with Nelson on the defensive end. He stepped up and wasn’t intimidated by Mississippi State front court. Wrightsell is a baller and is only gonna get more comfortable. Estrada is still missing too many layups and can be careless with the ball but he made a great strip in tolu smith at the end. Very proud of him playing better defense. RG is being more assertive and embracing his role. Lastly I like giving MO more minutes. He plays tough and will eventually find him a role on this team.

defense sealed the victory as UA did not allow the Bulldogs to score for the final 2:42 of the game

That free throw defense was stellar.

Just pointing out again how much we should appreciate Oats. I wouldn’t want any other guy as our bball coach. Dude is legit.

Favorite thing last night was watching the chemistry of our team and how much fun they have together.

Fired up for eachother making plays, smiling, 100% effort for eachother, whether on the court or on the bench they were involved. That play by Wrightsell for the loose ball and every guy wearing Crimson trying to help him up and being fired up for his effort made me smile.

That’s a team that loves each other and loves their coach. We can be DANGEROUS for any team with that energy and chemistry every night. Get through Missouri Tuesday and then lets go give Tennessee a war in Knoxville

Yeah, it was huge team win. Also, just the type game we didn't finish out earlier in the year when it came down brass knuckles.

Nelson's defense last night was a revelation for this team and its potential, IMO.

While his offense is still out of sync, his defense against Tolu Smith and the other State bigs was absolutely stellar, IMO.

If Nelson can hold up at the 5 on defense and provide the kind of rim protection he did last night, then on offense, there aren't going to be any 1/5 combos in CBB as skilled as the duo of Sears/Nelson. That could be lethal going forward.

We had 4 really good shooters on the floor for a lot of the 2nd half with Grant at the 5. We struggled rebounding though, due to size. Oats said Griffen came to him and asked if he needed to sit so we could get a rebounder in the game…totally unselfish…love Griffen’s attitude and leading the right way!

Only had 3 shooters when Mo D came in, but our rebounding and defense got better.

Mo D

Reminds me of Bola a bit. Tough and plays 50 pounds bigger than he is, but no offensive game at all. Great player to have against teams like State and UTk that are going to turn it into an MMA fight.

Nah i think he has more offensive game than Bola. Also he isnt elite as a rebounder like Bola. Mo can be effective as a slasher. He has a better handle and ability around the rim than Bola ever did. But Bola was a Rodman level rebounder.

I dont think Dioubate is that bad on offense he averaged 14 points a game last year in EYBL. Hard to tell how his offensive game is yet he’s only attempted 16 shots all season.

This part I put in bold stands out from his recruiting profile

Averaged 13.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists this past summer for the PSA Cardinals on the EYBL circuit

Named to the 2022 EYBL First Team

Most points scored around the rim (309) according to Synergy Sports on the EYBL circuit

Chose Alabama over Maryland, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, among others

Alabama now 2-5 in Quad 1 games. “Picked up” 2 yesterday with MSU win and looks like Indiana State popped back into Quad 1 (probably will end up Quad 2 bc their remaining schedule may drag them down a little). Oregon is getting close to Quad 1 win as well.

Mo D should be able to take guards into the paint and bully them. They could use him in the PNR game.
