I know regardless of the outcome tonight, we’ll probably be fine long term, but MAN a win could really boost everyone’s morale…the players, fans, everyone. I know it would help my excitement for this season go up. Right now we’re still kind of in wait and see mode but we feel so close to breaking through. Hopefully tonight is that breakthrough we’ve been waiting for. Would be HUGE.

We jumped Marquette last night after they lost to Providence. We’re ranked 8th on there now, Arizona is 3rd.

A win tonight would be huge.
If we win tonight and assuming we beat Liberty Neutral Site then this years teams resume is comparable to last years in the Non-Conf….
This Year:
9-4 3Q1 wins
Last Year:
10-3 4Q1 wins

There is a zero percent chance of a win today.

Four is more than a couple.

Have they announced who's officiating?

Not a likely win but Bama played the new number 1 team in the country to within 6 and just lost on the road to #12 Creighton by 3. Michigan State, who is 5-5, just beat #10 Baylor by 24 points. Anything is actually possible. Including Bama beating Arizona.

Michigan St played them in Michigan though, they lost to nebraska on the road the game before that. It’s a lot harder to win in a hostile environment than at home, especially in college basketball. This is why you don't get punished for losing to good teams on the road. We probably would’ve beaten Creighton if we played them at home.
Not saying we cant beat Arizona tonight but the fact that its in Arizona makes it a tougher game. They will get the whistle in their favor and most of the crowd will be Arizona fans.

And its the 4th game there today. Is there any realistic chance it will start on time?

There are two games there tonight, the one before us at 730 so it should be over by 10 unless it goes to overtime. Ours might start like 10 minutes late if any.

FFS. I had no idea this wasn’t a standalone game. Going to be a miserably late night.

Having said that we have usually been pretty good on the road under Oats, we won @Houston last year and have won some big SEC road games. Some coaches/teams can hardly win on the road at all, most of Gottfried’s teams for example.

Arizona State and Northwestern play there before us, maybe some Arizona State fans stick around after their game to cheer against Arizona.
I know if we did something like this in Bham and Auburn played before us their fans would for sure hang around and cheer against us or Vise Versa.

The Indiana State team we beat is 10 and 1 and ranked 17th in the NET rankings.
