I'm not sure either...the team just doesn't have the composition to be good defensively. Bediako should've brought his arse back to college instead of getting drafted to the same team that got a once-in-a-generation center/forward before you. He won't do shite in the NBA more than likely for it...

I love the fight and energy too, but the defense is still lost. They can have the energy and effort, which i never think we’ll lack, but if they dont make the right reads it wont matter. ball screen switches are still lost, too many guys being beat off the dribble, no help where needed, etc.

Nate tried the same offensive plan in the 2nd half that he tried in the 1st, and Kalkbrenner being back obviously was going to change that result but we kept trying it for so long.

Hardly any 3’s tonight

We can hang with anyone, and obviously this isn’t anything unknown, but the defense will determine what we do. If we play defense like we have the past two games ( although the whistle has been UnGodly one sided) we won’t go very far this year. If the defense changes and gets it just SEMI figured out, we could have something here.

I trust Nate to work like hell to get it figured out, because that man works like no other

Didn’t like that coaching decision although it worked. If they shoot and miss, we get the rebound with like 7-8 seconds and then all they have to do is foul us with 3 seconds and games over

Edit: you guys are way ahead of me. Thought we should have fouled rather than let them run it down on the last possession.

We’re losing to a top 10 team on the road and are right in it despite them shooting about 15 more free throws than us. The skys not falling.

Dating back to preseason we are 1-6 against P5 teams and good mid majors, with only win coming against a hobbled Oregon team where we still surrendered 90 points.
