I recall there being hurt feelings about Saban restricting access to practices when he first started coaching at Bama. He wanted everything tight, nothing leaked.
We got practice reports the first couple seasons, and then for whatever reason the iron curtain came down. Being locked out took a lot of the fun out of following the program IMO.

I think the credible reports of other team's attempting to spy on the practices led to an even tighter guard put up around practices. Loose lips sinks ships, etc.

Lance Thompson wouldn't stop sleeping around, so Andrew Bone lost his inside source.
It was either take a job with Tennessee or lose his wife.
Spoiler: He's had 2 divorces since 2009.

There was a follow up to the same question that Andrew Bone asserted that they're weren't closed, but more focused on the image of the NFL/Saban era alum.
McMillan agreed with him
Nate is all in his feelings too. Every year bama would send care packages to the current NFL players and Marlon Humphrey would show it off on twitter, McMillan would complain about how come they never get anything. Without fail you can count on the same reply from him.
Doors were never closed for former players to use the facilities, but the program was not in the business to roll out the red carpet.

*Nothing official*
Minus Oatis…DL opportunities look promising. Can’t wait to see the guys that stayed.

I never saw anything definite where Oatis said he was leaving. Got a link?

I think Ole Miss reddit or some shite is wishcasting.

You are right. I never saw anything official. Just what I had read here. My apologies for making assumptions. I was just jumping in to be a part of the discussion. Hopefully he stays but still excited to see what those other guys have to offer.

No worries. In that very post you’re talking about I melted and called him overrated. With how many players were transferring out I figured it was real. It could still be honestly. No one knows.
With the spring portal coming up our roster is still very much uncertain and unsettled.
Here’s to hoping we hold on to the bulk of who’s remaining.

I know people who know him. He has family and friends who never wanted him at Bama, and are trying their best to push him to Ole Piss. I know he's at least listening.

This doesn’t seem remotely definitive…

I'm not saying it is. But this isn't Twitter or message board rumors. This is from someone he directly has a relationship with.

Pro football focus has Brailsford the highest rated returning center in all of college football for 2024.
He allowed 1 sack in over 600 pass blocks grading out at 83
He graded out at 81 in run blocking. We just went from worst to first at center.
Then there's the OL coach trade...

I'm really happy with Brailsford. Also happy with the OL coach. He's been at UW since Peterson, and still left with DeBoer when they would have kept him. Says a lot about DeBoer, imo.

I was hopeful with Wolford being a better than Marrone but honestly, he was only a slight upgrade. I’m also hoping our OL will be quicker and faster than last year.

Alabama OL Tyler Booker says via @NextRoundLive that only one coaching staff has contacted him since Saban’s retirement.
“Everybody knows not to hit me up because they know my stance on Alabama. I'm really big on loyalty."

As he is not in the portal, I’m shocked a coaching staff reached out to him to tamper. Shocked I tell you.
