No. Milroe may be faster straight line but he’s not near as tough as Coker was. Coker would lay everything on the line for a first down. Milroe avoids contact.

But you gotta admit - he puts on a realy good endzone twerk when he scores a TD

Coker was a tough player. Bigger than Milroe too.

Milroe is 6'2" 220

Coker was 6'5" 235

Used to be a gif of Coker running over one of LSWho's? DL at the goal-line. Can't find it now. Ran right over him.

I don't wanna shite on Milroe but I think it's fair to say Jake Coker was the toughest Bama QB in the last 20 years. Milroe is probably higher on that list than people would admit.

Coming on the field to big time a backup lineman. Would have been nice to see that at the end of the Vanderbilt game…

Saban didn't go off on players in tight games either. For all the sideline raging he did, 98% of it was directed at the refs or occurred when we were up big.

For those old enough to remember, the 2000 season was the last and ugliest of the Mike DuBose era coaching the Crimson Tide. The team was floundering and dealing with the rumors and chatter about the head coach's future, affair chatter and so forth. We played Ole Miss in mid-season and blew them out, and "all seemed well" despite parts of the game still being hard to watch, including the "Pancake Posse" with their guts hanging out over their pants.

Well, that game wound up being the final win of the DuBose era, followed by FIVE straight losses. The lesson here being, ONE "good" game does not equal a turnaround. As most of you know, Nick Saban was a fanatic about consistency, and thus far, the 2024 team has been anything but consistent.
No, I am not suggesting that Coach DeBoer's future at Alabama hangs in the balance depending on the 2024 final record. There are internal issues that likely won't be resolved until the remainder of the holdover players are gone (if then). We better hope that resolves it. Right now, it remains to be seen if Alabama has the "right" head coach going forward.

JMO but I think after the 10RC game he has changed gears. Perhaps some people meet with him and advised him to forget the W's & L's but get the roster under control no matter who might leave. Get an early start on cleaning the house if needed.

The LSU game is going to be big for him and I am not talking about just a W or L.

Re: Sl0thstronautEsq's post on Chris Conway:

I thought there were rules in place to avoid perceived "contamination" of officials, e.g. if you attended an SEC school you couldn't officiate any of the games involving that school.

How the heck is an Auburn basketball PA announcer an official for Alabama football games?

Yeah, I would like to hear Sankey explain how this is not a conflict of interest.

David Smith's crew (former Bama QB) has worked some Auburn games in the past.

Way back when Tommy White (former Bama player) worked Auburn games. Coach Dye got on his azz one game.

Something I liked to see: Booker posted a pic with Ty on Instagram as part of a slideshow post. Ty put it on his story saying “No one is rather ride with”. Good to see
