Crazy that Richard Young is the third team back in this offense. He is a legit player who should get some snaps this year.

Asked USC transfer Domani Jackson why he stuck around even after Saban retired.

“The A doesn’t change”
a new transfer from USC could figure that out but not turncoat starters like bond and downs

RB room looking STOUT
Haynes at 210
Young at 216
Jam at 218
Hill at 241

I was not expecting to see Haynes as the lightest of the RBs. I guess I haven't paid much attention but I thought of him as the biggest of the 3 expected in rotation.

Kevin Harris is at 195. But i agree with you. Haynes looks a lot bigger than 210.

Young will be a Heisman contender and a Heisman winner.
He has the tools.

RB’s aren’t going to win the award anymore unless it’s a weak year for QBs and the RB has a TON of volume like Henry (and CMC did as runner up)

I definitely think we have a sneaky good RB room. Like top 3 in the country and no one really knows.

Coach Wommack was asked about working with Chuck Morrell, Washington's DC last year. He raved about how much he has helped him. He also mentioned that Morrell was helping with the linebackers and a new rules allowed for it. Does anyone know what the rules change is?

Analysts can now work with the team hands on. They weren’t allowed to in previous seasons.

Basically anyone employed by the school can now offer instructions/coach the players. The old rule only allowed for on-field to coaches to offer instructions/coach on the field. I think it’s great because now GA’s and analysts can coach technique!

The weights and heights listed by UA are notoriously inaccurate. When Bama guys go to the NFL combine, they are ALWAYS shorter than their listed heights at UA.

So wouldn’t the analysts be demanding to be paid more since they are on field coaches too?

We do. I think if everyone stays healthy, the carry split will be something like

Milroe- 180 (some of these will be sacks)
Haynes- 150
Miller- 120
Young- 75

For reference, Miller and Haynes combined for fewer than 75 carries last year .

I could really see each guy carving out their own niche within the offense. If A-day was any indication, Young is going to be so hard to stop in short yardage situations. that was inexplicably the Roydell Williams role last year. I don't know if he'll see as many carries as Roydell since he was the defacto #2 back in addition to short yardage, but I expect Young to play a key role

Daniel Hill also looked nearly unstoppable. That dude is built like a tank. I’m not sure how many opportunities he’s going to get with the players ahead of him but he looks like he’s physically capable of taking some handoffs and even catching a few passes.

Any thoughts on leading tackler, leader in rushing yards, and leader in receiving yards. Also, leader in INT's along with return yards, whether it be KR or PR

The GPS worked just as well on his pick sixes also.

That’s why he got the role. A player told Saban he should give Eddie a try because the chaos after a pick is the same as a punt return.
