I’ll remind you next week when we lose another series.

Next weekend really is a must. Especially with LSU, Auburn and Arkansas coming up.

Do you have anything else to add?

Please be sure to include your list of coaches that would be willing to take the job and their accomplishments.

I’ll have comprehensive list completed by the night for you to approve of.

No one is happy about the baseball situation, especially blowing games with leads like against miss state. Some of the coaching moves drives this board crazy at times also. Seemingly lackadaisical play pisses us off big time!
However, when you compare bama recruiting classes against those of lsu, ms state, ole miss, vandy, arkansas, florida, etc., bama is performing pretty well.
bo isn’t getting fired anytime soon, regardless of how much we get peeved about the status of the program.

Eric Bakich would be my first phone call.

Name a coach that’s consistently done that for this program?

Obviously the answer is Jim Wells. But that’s irrelevant considering how things are very different from the bulk of his time at Alabama.
We are going to be at a competitive disadvantage as long as the state legislature has its stance on a state lottery. And the University doesn’t allow for certain concessions on enrollment. That all being said, you can win big at Alabama. It just won’t be as consistent as other SEC programs. I don’t know if Bo is the answer, but I do think he needs more time to answer that question.

I agree with 99% of what you’re saying. What I’m saying is if we continue to accept what we are putting on the field, how far does it go before the next coach is at a mani or disadvantage as Bo was. I think Bo is an amazing recruiter, he just isn’t developing talent. The same mistakes that lost us games 3 years ago are the same ones we are making today. His in game coaching is questionable at best. I just wish the University cared about baseball like it should. The money is there.

Frustrating series but, again, not getting swept absolutely matters. Sweeps completely change seasons. Losing 3 games as opposed to 1 in the standings is a massive difference. If you can avoid getting swept the entire conference season chances are you will be in decent shape at the end of the year.

You really want to compare languishing in mediocrity to what Goff did? Because that'd be pretty stupid.

Absolutely. Find some way to win the series at South Carolina. Don’t get swept in the remaining series and Alabama is 14-16 in SEC play. That’s a step forward.

14-16 should get us to a regional. Maybe win one in SECT to be sure.

A decent size crowd today, although the smallest of the weekend. Relieved to see the team get that one. Hitting was better today (but probably more of a reflection of UGA pitching). Still struggling to string together meaningful at bats. Thank goodness for Drew’s and Pinckney’s home runs. Defense was good today - turned several double plays. Mentioned above, but Rose with a big league, run saving catch at the wall. Bama pitching was solid again today. Prielipp and Hoopes both in the dugout. (Hoopes caught the ceremonial first pitch). Noticed that Jean never went to the bullpen either - he must be one of the ones ‘dinged up’ that Bo referenced in an earlier press conference. It’s been about 3 weeks since he last pitched.
Twelve conference games left to go before the SEC tournament. Please (please, please) don’t overlook Samford this week and then go take all three at USCe.

Brilliant Start by Grayson Hitt Lifts Alabama Baseball Past No. 14 Georgia, 3-0
Hitt allowed no runs off of just three hits, walked two batters and struck out seven en route to his fourth win of the season.

The University really needs to get behind baseball the way they have softball and gymnastics. And don’t give me the excuse that baseball hasn’t produced, because to beat that dead horse some more, baseball is at a competitive disadvantage and the university makes it worse. Do everything you can to level the playing field for our guys and see where the program can go.

Per Brad Bohannon, William Hamiter jammed his shoulder when making contact with the outfield wall on Saturday. Bo doesn't know if he'll be back Tuesday or this weekend, but his injury is why he was not on the field for the Crimson Tide on Sunday.
