Not time to hit the panic button yet. Let’s see how we do this weekend . These games do happen unfortunately in baseball . It can be a fickle game at times . I still believe in what Bo is doing

At least we will be well rested after putting forth zero effort last night.

Really just can’t see this team making any kind of post season run. Consistency is not even a word in our vocabulary.

Disappointment doesn’t begin to describe last night at the Joe.

Baseball Trades Leads All Night with UAB, Falls 7-6 on Tuesday
Alabama baseball suffered a 7-6 loss to UAB on Tuesday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The loss moves the Crimson Tide to 23-15 on the season.
From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"It starts at the top, and obviously, I'm doing an incredibly poor job of getting us ready on Tuesdays. We've tried everything. We've tried taking a day off before; we've tried the light practice; we've tried a hard practice; and even the couple times we've won on Tuesday we really haven't played well. We played poorly again tonight. We didn't deserve to win."

I mean I appreciate his taking ownership of it, but at what point do we have to move another direction. The talent is there. We’ve seen this team get super hot. So is it coaching or is it lack of leadership on the team. Or is it both?

Need to win 2/3 this weekend. Georgia is scuffling, it's at home and it would give us some much needed breathing room SECT/NCAAT wise.

As disappointing as the midweek record has been, the team is still improved in SEC play over this time last year (8-7 vs 7-8). I’m in the same camp as Bear88 at present - not hitting the panic button just yet. Let’s see how the team does against UGA this weekend and the 2nd half of the conference schedule. Given the inconsistency in play, I’m not optimistic about any meaningful postseason run. Trying to stick to my original expectations for this year - make it to Hoover and make it to a regional. I think any glimmer of hope about hosting a regional is out the window. I don’t think Bo is in danger this season unless the wheels come completely off over the next month. But then, again, I’m just a fan in the stands.

2017-2019 SEC Record : 20-69-1 (23%)
2021-2022 SEC Record : 20-24 (46%)
We are currently looking at 2 straight NCAATs if we keep playing moderately good ball. Not a perfect season to date but we appear to be slowly moving back into "competitive SEC program that regularly makes the NCAAT" territory. After the late 2010s that's something I won't take for granted again anytime soon.

I don't think Bo is in the slightest bit of danger. He's done a solid job of getting the program to some level of respectability. Also, I think the fanbase and administration on whole are just happy to be somewhat competitive.
I feel like where we are with the program we need all the pieces to fall into place for us do have a great season. One of those pieces was CP. You get a healthy CP on this team and it's probably the difference in 4 or 5 games this season. Not only does it sort of bump everyone back a day on the rotation but it gives you higher quality midweek.
Either way that's a moot point. He's done well but I hope the administration and fanbase on whole isn't content with being an NCAA 3-seed.

Looking forward to visiting town on Saturday. What started out early as a very promising looking season has been majorly derailed by injuries, primarily to pitching. Cannon is our ace and has been out 2-3 weeks but should be back this Friday I belive. To this point, he's literally been the only "SEC starter" quality pitcher we have. Not sure who goes Saturday and Sunday. I feel decent about Fridya simply by having cannon back, and pretty lousy about saturday/sundy due to pitching. if we win either of those it'll have to be from hitting.

That is definitely improvement. Just wish it translated to more overall consistency.

Aren't the records reflective of more consistency?

Reflective of not being absolute arse.

Sure, but they are both under .500. It's just that one of them isn't 49 games under .500.
