Just makes perfect sense to me.

Y'all want to experience bad? Georgia fans in Columbus, GA are 10 x worse than Auburn fans. Think Darrel that calls Finebaum and subtract knowledge and reason. Auburn fans admit when they're awful. Georgia fans ride their free fall to the ground and get mad at you for noticing.

I agree with that. AU fans know their place a lot more than UGA fans do. UGA fans think they should be on our level and are a lot more dramatic about it when they don't get there. The entitlement of your typical UGA fan is off the charts.

I don't disagree with that. I am certainly not actively pulling for Auburn, but I don't mind seeing my father, my brother, and my good friends get enjoyment out of their run. It is exciting for them. I guess I just look at it as it not really mattering to me.

The bammer twitter and message board warriors that are acting as if you are not a true Alabama fan if you aren't actively hating this Auburn run screams "try-hard" and "edgy." Worry about your damn selves.

I’ll tell you a little story about Mac. Some stuff you already know and some you don’t.

He was an outstanding Will when he didn’t have to think much and a terrible Mike because it was to much thinking.

My significant other drives a Maserati, as you know I’m close to the program and after one of the games my dad was talking to a good friend of his in the AD. Some of the guys chose to walk back to their rooms after the games. Mac stopped to talk to this AD and my Dad. We pulled up to pick up dad, over by the Publix. Mac of course freaks and goes into the Maserati Mac thing. Starts to tell me he hopes God blesses him with the abilities to afford that car one day. I got the impression he was/is a great kid and created a personality to make himself seem cool or whatever. I think everything on Twitter is not really him but this illusion or persona he has created.

Anyway my .10

Mack gets a ton of hate because he posts on twitter a lot, and wasn't a good Mike. Rubs bammers the wrong way. Way overblown.

I just have a hard time translating the hate over football to basketball. Maybe because both teams have been irrelevant for so long it doesn't matter. AU-UA basketball isn't UNC-Duke.

I just more jealous of where Pearl has them right now and we starting over.....again.

Of course pvilleguru turned this into a Mack/twitter post. The post was created to point out how Mack was rooting for Auburn and Henry wasn't cool with it...it's not because he's on social media it's more to do with what he said on social media.

Argue until your blue in the face, though. It's your thing.

I’m the same way. Don’t know how you could live in the State of Alabama and not have good friends who are Auburn fans. I’m happy for my AU friends.

Still hope their sports program gets disbanded and their campus is converted to a strip mine.

The fricking title of the thread reads "Another Mack Wilson social media thread". If you don't want a Mack Wilson Twitter thread, don't start a thread about a Mack Wilson Twitter post.

shite, there's people in this thread basically hoping Mack fails because he didn't live up to their expectations and because he likes social media yet I'm the one you're bitching about. Ok.

The notion that I'm some sort of Auburn apologist is laughable. I made fun of a little brother thread you made.

If Auburn was playing the Soviets I'd be waving the Hammer and Sickle

The rabble-rousing portion of our fanbase is hilarious, and pathetic.

I moved out of the state 18-years ago and live in a different part of the country. Guess I am not a real fan anymore because I don't hate Auburn basketball enough.

I live in Birmingham and I don't want them to win it all, but I don't hold it against anyone that does. It's none of my fricking business

I don't have to live around them like you do so my hatred of them has dissipated. I don't even personally know any Auburn grads or fans anymore except some relatives like my cousin. I remember well how obnoxious they can be as every fan has that Ag-school, small dick, short man's complex.

I also remember how dirty they really are back when you had the Lowder-Dye crew calling the shots. A couple of Iron Bowl losses would probably correct that ....

That's really the only reason I don't want hem to win. I don't want to hear the shite. It's bad enough that they are coming out of the woodwork now.

I like Bruce Pearl and I like the style they play, I just don't want them to win it all. I'm friends with a bunch of Auburn fans and I don't care if they are happy or not

Now they are a basketball school and don't really care about football. It's a dying sport anyway...... when they suck.

It's like every time they get their asses kicked by Bama they like to trot their average ACT score is like a point higher than Bama's and now they are the Cal Tech of the South.

I live in Bham as well and they would be insufferable if they won the whole thing.

I’ve had the conversation elsewhere but the local media always seems a little extra “giddy” when AU reaches this level of success. Not saying AU doesn’t deserve accolades or publicity because it’s a great achievement and I’m jealous AF over it, but something I noticed in 2010, 2013, and in the last few days is that local media tend to be a little more “proud” about Auburn. Almost like AU is a local HS band that made the Macy’s parade. You see the “this is a great thing for the state” narrative trotted out a lot more when AU has success than when Alabama does. Maybe it’s due to AU being “little brother” or something but there’s definitely a different approach.
