Needs to be a good hire. Don’t need Bryce trying to follow Sark out the door

Why would Bryce to sit out for a year at Texas when he’s going to start at Bama next year?

I don't think BY is leaving but he wouldn't have to sit

If Tom Herman isn't a realistic option(he could fall upwards into another HC spot), I wouldn't hate seeing Mike Yurcich at Bama either.

Yea I remember Yurcich on the list last time.

The young guy from Princeton replaced him at Okie St and has had pretty mixed reviews hasn't he?

Kevin Wilson's name will probably float around as well, I'd guess.

Don't forget Brian Daboll, nobody even heard of this dude and now he's the hotest HC candidate in the NFL.

He was an offensive coordinator for three different NFL teams before being hired as OC at Alabama. Plenty of people had heard of him.

My guess on the first wave of names we will see

- Tom Herman
- Mike Yurcich
- Kevin Wilson
- Jeff Lebby
- AJ Milwee
- 2-3 NFL guys

Are these Saban's top 5? Probably not.

I'd also assume Kyle Flood will follow Sark? Sucks he's been a fantastic offensive line coach

That seems to be the assumption, which sucks, because he's been incredible both coaching and recruiting.

Flood got ties to Sark? Thought Saban plucked him after his Rutgers stint ?

He was a coach for the Falcons (off field/analyst/whatever the NFL calls off field guys) with Sark. He went to Atlanta post-Rutgers.

I think he would only leave for a title change, and I can’t see him being promoted to OC. Maybe, we pay him enough to stay.

Totally joking here, but Butch Jones does have some OC experience. Let’s bring him back. Players loved him, and it be fun to watch Tennessee fans melt some more.

I really think Herman would be a homerun

Tx and Midwest recruiting ties. Gives him both a Meyer and Saban pedigree as he rehabs for his next gig.

Great offensive mind. His management of that 2014 tOSU roster with all of the QB issues was well done. He called a great game vs Bama as well.

But, it rarely, if ever, becomes who we think it might be.

The reality is we won’t know shite for at least 2 weeks as Saban will put this on the back burner until after the natty/wildcard round in the NFL if not longer. It’s going to be a long January
