I'd take McElwain in a heartbeat. With our talent level now, our red zone issues wouldn't be a problem. And I know damned good and well in short yardage we wouldn't be be in the shotgun 4- wide formation (looking at you, Lane and Pussmeier). We'd keep the power running, play action pro attack going with the quarterback actually under center.

Save Applewhite, most of the offensive analysts were younger guys.

Almost all of them are leaving as of now, think Alex Mortenson and Tino(GA) are the 2 guys who haven't been linked to jobs yet.

Applewhite, Milwee, Steele, and Ezell are leaving...

Nobody hardly runs QBs under center now and are explosive . I don’t want that

Oh easily, but I think most of them took jobs more or less worthy of their experience level.

Think a guy like Milwee is a job or two away from consideration for an OC job like Bama(if he didn't crash and burn at other stops).

Though who would've thought the NFL would gravitate towards younger, fresher playcallers vs recycling the same 15-20+ year veteran(looking at you Chan Gailey)?

On the back of that, I swear if former Saban GA Adam Gase ends up as Bama's OC somehow...

I'd suffer another season with him as Jets coach just to prevent that

IF this blows up and Sarkisian stays at Bama, you can start to get comfortable with him as the successor to Saban. You don't turn down Texas, even with all of its problems, without something better.

There won't be a signed contract, but Saban giving him two chances already and a handshake will be the assurance he will get that he will be the next coach.

What if he goes to Texas and comes back when Saban retires?

Don't forget Brian Daboll, nobody even heard of this dude and now he's the hotest HC candidate in the NFL.

Seems unlikely. Oddly enough I think you may see Dabo possibilities opening back up a bit, although I know opinions have soured on him of late.
