I loathe Dabo as well. I still find it strange we never hear a peep out of the media about his friendship with the piece of shite Perry Noble.

Shoot Dan Wolken a quick DM and I'm sure he'll be hot on the trail

Bro, have you read these boards after a basketball/football loss? Sorry, I had a meltdown, Jesus, are you ever going to let that go? People say crazy shiit all the time on here

My feedback would be this:
(1) Whoever the candidate will be, he will have to (a) be adept at a mixture of pro style and the spread
(2) Along with being a very good OC, he will have to be a very good QB Coach
(3). I can’t be anything but happy for Coach Sark. Yes, I wish he would have stayed with us, but you don’t turn down Texas when you have been working to improve the perception of you, professional and personally, for years.
(4) Texas hiring Alabama’s OC to be their head coach should put out the welcome mat for all great OC candidates, including the one that Coach Saban will hire. Sark’s hire shows that if you come here and have success under Coach Saban, you will have bigger opportunities down the road.
(5) We all know Coach Saban already has a current list of candidates for all potential openings on his staff.
(6). My main concern with this situation is that we don’t lose Coach Flood, Coach Banks, Coach Scott, or Coach Huff in them choosing to go to Texas, also.
Of the above, I have heard this site mention the possibility of Coach Flood leaving with Sark. Any other info on the other Tide coaches I mentioned out there right now?

I wonder if Larry Fedora will get an interview? I hope not, but you never know

How was Texas defense when Strong was the HC (not DC) and USF?

I'll be totally honest - I don't get the Charlie Strong infatuation.
Yards Per Play
Louisville - Big East Ranks (out of 8)
2010 - #5 (4.98)
2011 - #5 (4.97)
2012 - #5 (5.32)
2013 - #1 (4.20)
Texas - Big XII Ranks (out of 10)
2014 - #2 (4.68)
2015 - #5 (5.63)
2016 - #4 (5.63)
South Florida - American (out of 12)
2017 - #1 (4.84)
2018 - #8 (5.84)
2019 - #6 (5.39)
Mostly middle of the pack defenses in meh conferences for a decade with a good defense every 3 to 4 years. I'm glad to have him around the building helping with defensive stuff, but I don't get why he is talked about like he's Dick LeBeau.

Go get Glenn Schumann.
He knows our system. Great recruiter.

Strong is that "big" name that everyone still knows.
Big Name =/= Good Hire
I'd rather Steele over Strong, and I'm not even that big of a fan of Steele returning...

Yea, count me out on those dudes.
I'd much rather do what Saint said and go tell Schumann he can come back and run the show while getting on the 3-4 year path to a big P5 head coaching job.
Guy is an Alabama grad who student assisted for 3 years, GA'd for 3 years then did Football Ops for 2 years before going to Georgia and being a helluva defensive coach and recruiter. And is only 30 years old (but with legit SEC experience unlike our current guy).

Maybe LSU or Texas will make a run at PG and we can get new blood calling the shots . Otherwise I don’t see Saban making a move

Wonder what exactly it'd take to get him out of Athens.

I’d be all in for OBrien. I just don’t think he has the temperaments to put up with Saban for more than a year. Could be wrong.

I'd be all for it if a change is made at DC, it's a near perfect hire.
Schumann is a guy who you hear about that just eats, sleeps, and breathes football.

Schumann may love being in Athens and working with Kirby, you never know. But he's currently a co-DC working under a young defensive head coach who gets all the credit for the defense from the outside world. Alabama, which he knows well and presumably has good feelings about given the time he spent here with the current head coach, has a track record 10 miles long of taking good coordinators and having them turn into P5 head coaches. He'd be the DC - not a co-DC.
I mean, I have to imagine that if we pushed hard for him we'd have a pretty good shot, unless he just loves being at UGA and has no desire to leave until he gets a head coaching gig (which you have to think is going to be a while).

You'd have to think Schumann would run to Tuscaloosa if offered the job given his history with Alabama.
