I think we would give him the benefit of the doubt on not having a Masters

Maybe so but this is BB's first contract extension with Saban. It seems pointless to stir up a bunch of bs because the guy had the contract delivered to Saban's office rather than hand delivering it along with a six pack of beer.

Mrs Terry's comments about lack of appreciation the other day? Not about the fans. She was talking about the administration.

A rumored $7 million per year contract extension shows a "lack of appreciation from UA's administration"?

As I said, if all this is true, it seems like it's less about money and more about respect.

With that said, the first contract negotiation is the most important IMO. Sets the mood for those to follow.

Mal was a football guy from humble begginings. Battle is a businessman. I think the laid back football guy is a better mesh with saban's personality

^^This - Mal was a Southern Gentleman, a good ole boy that knew FOOTBALL, knew what a legendary coach was when he saw it and he knew how to work with a guy like Saban and Mrs. Saban.

Bill Battle is a buisnessman first and foremost, he ain't into sitting around the table with a good ole bourbon, talking football. He just knows how to get down to the brass tacks and get buisness done.

All in all, this just may be a situation where both men are feeling each other out. I believe both Battle and Saban want to remain employed at UA ~ we'll see if they can come to terms.

I just don't see him recruiting like crazy for Bama if he is going to Texas. I think he is trying to either make a point, or get some more money. If all the debt talk is true then I can't blame him. Millions of dollars per year is fine and good until you owe someone millions of dollars. The it just becomes paying the bills like mine and your jobs.

This sounds like seven degrees of alabama, and I won't go into too much detail, but a friend knows a good friend/ex team mate/business colleague of battle says y'all are good to go.

He is legit as far as connectivity to battle, I know for a fact. TIFWIW. Could be wrong, could be right.

He's said about 20 times this season, he ain't goin anywhere. Probably just letting media make fools of themselves at this point. Denying it won't change what they're saying anyways. If it did, it wouldn't be going on now.

when he signs things and he and BB have a presser, He is then going to have a field day with all the morons who have predicted him to UT. He will take a huge stab at UT because of the way they have back doored and chit on his good friend Mack
