Can we all make a pact that if "it" happens that you don't melt on the rant. Be thankful for the years we had him and take comfort in the fact that that no coach is bigger than Alabama and he left the cupboard overflowing. We aren't going anywhere

I agree. No one should melt. We should be thankful.

It's totally not going to happen, but yeah I can agree.... although if the unimaginable happens I may not remember this moment.

This is all I was told today. I'll copy/paste what I was DMing someone on Twitter.

quote:

I was told CNS and Sexton meeting with Texas big wigs, Saban expecting 9.5/yr offer and 95% chance he'd take it

quote:

Friend @ university. Said that was the understanding in T-Town today, and they were working on short list to see interest b4 offering CKS

He said this following, won't reveal this guy's Twitter handle unless he is on here and oks it, but I don't think he posts on this board.

quote:

Nick Saban has already agreed to the contract extension with Alabama the board of trustees is approving it now

quote:

My source is his rec member who is in every meeting with him

Maybe no truth to either side, but I don't just naturally assume anyone is lying. Texted my friend to call me when she could, no response yet.

So what you are saying is he is leaving and isn't leaving all at the same time.

This is a clever troll.

Whatever happens, please dear god happen soon, its getting annoying.

I'm sure we'll have a couple people melt, but there really isn't any reason to. I sat through Shula, the last five years have been better than I ever could have imagined, and if the Saban era ends now, then so be it.

That being said, He ain't gone.

No. I was told he likely gone, then someone else was told he staying.

Saban is not going anywhere. This is the most tired arse shite I've ever seen. No credible sources have said anything of importance on the matter. Let's just let this shite go.

As long as we get it out now, we won't melt when it happens.

I agree with that, and I will have no bitter feelings if he leaves, but its just getting absolutely ridiculous. There is just really nothing that truly leads me to believe that he is leaving. He is recruiting balls to the wall, does anyone REALLY think that he would recruit for Texas under the guise of the University of Alabama?

Sure, money, Texas recruiting base, blah blah blah, but he has no problem getting any of that at Alabama. I am just trying to make sense of all these rumors, and it isnt happening.

You don't know for sure either way.

He just put this out as an "if it happens." It is tired as shite, but there seems to at least be a little smoke this year to the rumors, as opposed to previous years.

It is 100% absolutely positively not happening.

But I also agree that if it does, no melt. I'll be thankful

Don't get me wrong, I think he's staying. But, in that small chance that he leaves for some stupid reason, I'd like to not see a melt. That'd be nice. SEC Crazy and antibarner already make us look like fricking tards over the Iron Bowl over a week later.

Well no shite, I never claimed to.

Where is the smoke? and I am not talking about someone saying that "they know someone who knows a booster who told him this and that". Anyone can write an article about anything these days with the internet, and most of these sites, twitter accounts, etc. are just worried about getting hits.

Unlike lsu fans I'm not going to pretend to know Nick Saban's thought process. From a netral point of view it doesn't make any sense, but we really have no idea what he or his family is thinking. I can tell you that I wish it would be confirmed one way or another. If he's going to Texas then I'd like him to hold the presser from Austin tonight. If he's accepting an extension then i'd like the university to make that statement tonight.

Nothing good can come from the silence for Alabama. If he's staying then he needs to put the rumors to bed so that it doesn't hurt us in recruiting. That's my stance on it. If a contract has been agreed upon then he needs to sign the damn thing.

Like I said in the OP, Alabama isn't going anywhere regardless. If Nick Sabana wants to run off to Texas then good luck to him, I pity the fact that he'll regret it a decade from now, because the truth is he'll never top what he's done in his time here.

I think he is going to retire at Alabama and will think so until I see him at the podium elsewhere. But you nor I know for sure if that's the case.

I would just like to see our fanbase not act like children that got their ball taken away if he decides to leave.
